Mr. and Mrs. Don MacDonald
It's been a year since many of you last saw Don and Brenda
(Ball) MacDonald when they modelled for the 1980 Bride's
Editiontor the Signal -Star and News -Record.
Don and Brenda have had an exciting year that started
with a very special occasion, their wedding on July 19,1980.
They are happily settled into their Clinton home and Don
, works with Ontario Hydro as a forester. Last year Brenda
completed her training and is now working as a nurse at the
Clinton Public Hospital.
Don plays hockey in the winterF and both are still playing ••
baseball in the stuntner months. They both enjoy sports, and
after all, if it weren't for baseball, Don and Brenda would
never have met. The couple first met over a bat and ball
when Don coached Brenda's ball team.
The Signal -Star and News -Record hope that Don and
Brenda keep hitting those home runs and wish them a happy
first anniversary, and many more of the same in years
ahead,

Engaged
Colin Brander and Barbara Suplat
It wasn't love at first sight for Colin and Barb. In fact Colin
used ta tease Barb and call her names when they first met in
Little did Colin and Barb know, that only a few months
later they would be dating, and three years later would be
making wedding plans.
Colin and Barb have come a long way since those Grade 9
days at Goderich District Collegiate Institute and now the
two are happily planning for an August 1 wedding in
Goderich.
The young couple plan to make their home in Strathroy,
where Colin now works with Lakeport Steel Industries. Barb
is presently attending school and working part-time in
Goderich.
While Colin and Barb are in the midst of preparing for their
special day they took time out of their busy schedules to help
prepare the 1981 Bride's Edition' for the Signal -Star and
News -Record.
The edition offers couples helpful hints and suggestions,
from choosing gowns to selecting caterers and we hope that
the Bride's Edition will help make your day a happy and
memorable one.
We also thank Colin and Barb for all their help and hope
that their wedding day, and all days ahead will be happy
ones.
