It was 7-3 for Strathroy there on Saturday, and 12-1 here on Sunday. Optimist Seniors beat Buckeyes The Optimist Senior ringette team •handily dismissed '• the Zurich Buckeyes in two playoff games last week, while the Lion Juniors were defeated by Listowel 9-0 on Sunday. It was. 18-1 for the Seniors on Thursday in Zurich. Angela Alcock and Robin McDonald were high scorers. for Goderich, netting -five goals apiece. Allison Graham and Kathleen Carter notched two each while singles went to Terrilyn 'Fisher, Tracey Wilson, Pam Doney, and Debbie Mitchelmore. Cathy Oke played goaltender. Oke shut the Buckeyes out. on. Sunday when her team won 10-0. Tracey Wilson, Angela Alcock, Robin McDonald, and • Allison Graham all got two goals each for the Optimists,. and Terry Fisher and Pam Doney each scored once. The Lion Juniors did. not fare so well against Lisowel onSunday and lost by a score of 9-3. Goderich was winning 3-2 in the first half before. Listowel surged ahead with several unanswered goals. The Optimists split a pair . of games, losing to Hodges 8-5 then surprising Holmesville. 11-6.
