The Goderich SignaiStar
Juveniles were eliminated
from further OHA playoff
action here Sunday af-
ternoon when Petrolia
defeated them 10-5 in a very
violent game.
The teams met in Petrolia
on Saturday for the fourth
game of the series which
Petrolia won 5-3. Juvenile
• coach Bill Rahbek blames
lenient officiating during
Saturday's game for the

Two Goderich players were
suspended in that game,
Larry Boyce for 10 games,
and JOU for.five_
In Saturday's contest,
Goderieh tied it up at three in
the second period before
Petrolia scored two in the
third to win it. Signal -Star
goals were scored by John
Clement with two and Rob
McDonald with one.
The Juveniles will begin
Shamrock League . playoffs
soon, but are awaiting op-
ponents and -ice time. •
Bantams lose two
The Goderich Bantams'
first playoff round with
Strathroy isn't going very
well for them, as they
dropped the first two games
of .the best -of -five series on
the weekend.
It was 7-3 for Strathroy
there on Saturday, and 12-1
here on Sunday. Goderich
scored the first goal 49
seconds into the game on
Saturday from Daryl Madge
assisted by John Thompson
and _off- j_LeReau, Then
Strathroy scored two quick
goals to take the lead.

Optimist Seniors
beat Buckeyes
The Optimist Senior
ringette team •handily
dismissed '• the Zurich
Buckeyes in two playoff
games last week, while the
Lion Juniors were defeated
by Listowel 9-0 on Sunday.
It was. 18-1 for the Seniors
on Thursday in Zurich.
Angela Alcock and Robin
McDonald were high scorers.
for Goderich, netting -five
goals apiece.
Allison Graham and
Kathleen Carter notched two
each while singles went to
Terrilyn 'Fisher, Tracey
Wilson, Pam Doney, and
Debbie Mitchelmore. Cathy
Oke played goaltender.
Oke shut the Buckeyes out.

several unanswered goals.
Tammy Gibbons scored all
three goals for the Juniors.

Burger Bar (12-3). The
Optimists split a pair . of
games, losing to Hodges 8-5
then surprising Holmesville.
