Township, died at her
residence on Thursday,
February 19 at the age of 66.
She was born August 19,
1914 in Goderich. to Malcolm
and Leatha (Smale)
MacDonald.
She attended public and
high school in Goderich and
lived in Goderich until
moving to Colborne Town-
ship seven years ago.
She was a member of
Victoria Street United
Church, Goderich.
She is survivedj her
husband, Kenneth Roy Allin;
six children, Rod of Jackson,
Wyoming, Gerald ofOttawa,
and Mra. Jim (Corinne)
Koster, Glen, Mrs. Richard
(Lois) Freeman and Bruce
all of Goderich; one sister,
Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Durst
of Bradenton, Florida; one
brother, Norman
MacDonald of Goderich; 17
grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held
at Stiles Funeral Home in
Goderich on Monday,
February 23 at 1 p.m. The
Reverend John D.M. Wood
officiated
Interment was in Colborne
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom and
John Koster, Bruce and Jim
Alpin, Dave Mewhinney and
Neal Lowey.

Giles United Church, Van-
couver.
She is survived by several
nieces in the area.
A funeral service was held

followed by cremation.

She was predeceased .by

and two children in infancy.
She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs: Rudolf
(Emma) Herrmann of
Colborne Township; two
sons, Alfred Zehmer of
Brantford and Oskar Zeh-
mer of Erlangen, West
Germany; eight grand-

grandchildren.

Funeral Home in Goderich.

p.m. in Faith Lutheran
Church, Brantford. The

Farringdon Burial Ground,
Brantford.

He is survived by his wife,
the former Mary McClin-

of Goderich; two sisters.

Reg (Muriel)- Williamson,
-10 a of-G`oderieh; and seven
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by
two sisters, Wins. iyr,Yai'aau
(Eva) Charette and Mrs.
John (Rita) Berretta; and
by one brother, Richard.
A funeral mass was held at
St. Peter's Church on

11 a.m. The Reverend
Father A.F. Loebach of-
ficiated.

McQilluin Funeral Home on

Miss Flora Jane Mac-
donald of Goderich died in
xandra Marine and
Getrieral Hospital on Mon-
day, February 16 at the age
of 90.
'She was born August 8,
1890 in Goderich to Captain
. Murdoch and Flora Mac-
donald.
• She lived in Toronto,
Detroit and Goderich and
was a clerical worker in an
accountant's office.
She was a member et Kinox
Presbyterian Church and the
Women's Missionary Society,
of Knox Church.
She was predeceased by
two sisters and four
beothers.
She is survived by two
nieces, Mrs. Fred
(Mniigaret) Scheer of
Georgia and Mrs. Robert
(Enid) Jewell of Colborne
Township; and one nephew,
Douglas Macuonala of
Guelph.
At the request of the
deceased, her remains have
been donated for medical
research.
A memorial service will be
held in the chapel of Knox
Presbyterian Church on
Friday, February 27 at 1
p.m. The Reverend G.L.
Royal will officiate with
McCallum Funeral Home in
charge of the arrangements.

John Jeffery, a local
businessman, died at his
residence, in Goderich on
Tuesday, February 17 at the
age of 78.
He was born on January
23, 1903 in England to Mr.
and Mrs. Alfred William
Jeffery.- He came to Canada
in 1912 -as a Bernardo Home
boy and was placed with a
farm fitati1y in. the Walton
area. He moved to Goderich
as a young manand worked
at various jobs before
starting out on his own as a
general contractor. In 1947.
he founded John Jeffery and
Son Building Supplies with
his son Harold.
He was married on March
20, 1972 to Norah Draganov
in Toronto. She '. survives
him.
The late Mr. Jeffery was
well known for his love of
steam engines and was a
familiar figure over the past
years at local parades in his
Bell steam engine.
He was a member of
Victoria Street United
Church.
He was predeceased by his
first wife, Evaline Ellacott in
-i959; by--a--daughter, -Mrs;
William (Eleanor) Seltzer in
1970; and by one brother and
one sister.
He is survived by one son,
Harold and daughter-in-law
Norma , of Goderich; two
step -daughters, Mrs. Glen_
(Margaret) Umbenhower
and Mrs., Ken (Kathy)
Bevington, both of Windsor;
nine grandchildren; 10 step -
grandchildren; and one
great grandson.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Home •
in Goderich on Friday,
February 20 at 2 p.m. The
Reverend John D.M. Wood
officiated. \
Interment was in the
Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich.

Gary, his wife Yvonne and daughters Tarnmi
18, and Lisa, 10, live on their beef and dairy
farm in the AIlenford area.
Although living just 5 miles outside the riding
Gary is a lifetime resident,of Bruce County and
is committed to moving into the riding when
elected.
Being a farmer Gary is very aware of the
problems facing Agriculture today. Problems
such as high interest rates, low prices and
foreign speculation in area farmland.
Gary has been involved in municipal politics for
the past 121/2 years including terms as warden
of Bruce Cofinty and chairman of the Bruce
County Economic Development Committee.
This experience has acquainted Gary with both
the problems and potential of Huron Bruce.

Robert and Agnes Johnston.
She lived in both Goderich
Township and Goderich.
She was an adherent of
Knox Presbyterian Church.
She was predeceased by
her husband, John Porter
and by two brothers, Ernest
Johnston and Wileman
Johnston.
She is survived by several
nieces and nephews.

in Goderich on Saturday,
February 21 at 3 p,m. The
Reverend G.L. Royal of-
ficated

Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich.

The Goderich and District Big Brothers Association held its anirual greeting
last Wednesday night and elected a new slate of officers. Left to right are
Mike Cox, vice-president, Ernie Crawford, treasurer, June Lee, board
member from Clinton, Clifford Hall, national representative, Jim Mulherne
president and Dorothy Cornish, secretary. Mr. Hall, who was guest speaker
at the meeting, spoke on expanding into the Clinton area and on the
