Amos J. Andrew of.
Huronview, formerly off
Goderich, died in Huronview
on Friday, February 6 at the
age of8l.
He was born August 1, 1899
in Mulmar Township,
Ontario to William and
Henrietta (Cartwright)
Andrew.
He farmed in Colborne
Township until 1949 and
operated Andrew Dairy from
1949 to 1977.
He was a member of
Morningstar Lodge no. 309,
A.F. and A.M. and of North
Street. United Church.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Muriel
Washington; two daughters,
Mrs. Brent (Eleanor) Nelson
and Mrs. Gary (Mary)
Suchard, both of Goderich;
one son, William of Tampa,
Florida; seven grand-
children; and three great-
grandchiklren.
A funeral service was held

on Monday, February 9 at 2
p.m. The Reverend Robert
O. Ball officiated,

Philmore Clayton • Bissett
of Goderich Township died at
•his residence Saturday,
January 31 at the age of 66.
He was born on October 9,
1914 in Goderich Township to
Constance and Ella May
(Moore) Bissett.
He attended Goderich
Collegiate and later was
employed at the salt mine
until his retirement in 1979.
During World War II he
served as a flight sergeant
with 423 . Squadron in ,
England and Northern
Ireland. He enlisted in
London in 1942 and was
discharged in Northern
Ireland.
He was a member of Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 109
and of Knox Presbyterian
Church.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Audrey Telford;
his mother, Mrs. Ella May
Bissett of Seaforth; three
daughters, Mrs. Everett
(June) Horton of Goderioh,
Mrs. Jim (Ella May)
Mohring of Dungannon and
Mrs. Don (Erin) Cowan of
London; five sons, Telford of
Colborne Township, Robert
of Cornwallis, Nova Scotia,
Fred and Michael, both of
Goderich and Pat at home;
and nine grandchildren.

of 165 Cameron Street,
Goderich died in Alexandra
Marine and GeneralHospital
on Monday, February 9 at
the age of 64.
He was born April 11, 1916
in Logan Township, Ontario
to David and Edith.(Osborn)
Brown.
On April 5, 1939 he married
Rita Beadle in Auburn. They
lived in Auburn until moving
to Goderich in -1965.
The late Mr.. Brown
worked as a. miner at
Domtar.
He was a member of St.
George's Anglican Church in
Goderich. •
He is' survived by his wife;
six children, William of
Goderich, Mrs. John
(Shirley) Hazlitt of Ben -
miller, Mrs. Robin (Carol)
Lawrie of Blyth, Ronald of
•Goderich, Mrs. Gerry
(Nancy) Roebuck of•
Goderich and Philip at

He was predeceased by

Goderich on Wednesday,

Interment was in Ball's
Cemetery, Auburn.

She was born to Simon
Henry arid Annie Elizabeth
(Fothergill) McVittie.
She .lived in Toronto,
Peterborough and Goderich.
She Was predeceased by
her husband, Theodore
(Ted) Elliott; and by two
brothers, Ellibtt and Melville
McVittie.
She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Wallace
(Dianne) Lobban of
Calgary; two sisters, Mrs.
Florence MacDougall and
Mrs. Edna Currie, both of
Goderich; and four gran-
dchildren.
A private family funeral
service was held Tuesday,
February 10 at the Kaye
Funeral Home in Peter-
borough. The Reverend
Ronald Smeaton of Knox
United Church, Peter-
borough officiated.
Cremation followed with
interment in Little Lake
Cemetery, Peterborough.

Barry Pinch of 26 Bennett
Street, Goderich died
Saturday, January 31 at R.R,
1 Alymer as the result of an
automobile accident in his
22nd year.
He had been employed by
the Goderich Public Utilities
Cotxunission hydro crew for
two years.
He was a member of Club
Seven at the Baptist Church;
was top, scorer for the
Alymer hockey team; had
played for the Junior C
hockey team in Clinton; and
was the all-star third
baseman for the Gord. Smith

He is survived by his
parents, Barry and Vivian°'

The late Mr. Robinson had
worked as a shift boss at the
mine. .
He was a navigator with
the Royal Canadian Air

Force during World War .II.
He enlisted at Toronto in 1943
and .was , discharged at
Toronto ih 1945.
He was a member of Court
Benmiller no. 86, Canadian
Foresters and the Benmiller
United Church.
He is survived by his wife,
Florence; children, Warren
and Eleanor Robinson of
Goderich; two grand-
children, Baird and Erin
Robinson; and one sister,
Mrs. Norman (Doris)
Goodwin of Wolverhampton,
England.

Mrs. Vera Marie Ryan of

died in Alexandra Marine

age of 80.

(Mcllwain) Johnston.
On February 28, 1922 she
married Jack W. Ryan in
Winnipeg, 'Manitoba. He
survives her.
The late Mrs. Ryan was a
member off Goderich
Rebekah Lodge no. 89; the
Women's Institute; the
Golden Gate SeniorCitizens'e
Club; and Knox
Presbyterian Church,
Goderich.
Besides her husband, she
is survived by three sons,
Bruce of Goderich, Ronald of
Owen Sound and Leroy of
Goderich; one brother,
Eldon Johnston of Goderich;
10 grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
