On Tbiirsday, O'Brien were beaten for only the second time this season, a 4-3 decision to Hodges Mill. Bantams shut out Exeter The Goderich Bantams played . Exeter to a 5-0 win here on Saturday, but last two other games hast week to St. Marys and llderton. Goalies Randy Gaynor and Terry -Bean recorded the shut out for Goderich. The Bantams chalked up three quick first -period goals m the space of 41 seconds to run away with the game. At. 11:53, Daryl Madge notched the first on a play set up by Shawn Rahbek and ken Huff. Twenty seconds later, Madge shot another one past the Exeter goaltender assisted by Lee Frisby and Madge.' Then at 12:34, John Thompson netted Goderich's third Jeff LeBeau and Peter Stahl drew the assists. The Bantams surged ahead even further in the second period with two goals by LeBeau. Thompson assisted on the first one at 4:30, and Scott Stokes set LeBeau up on the fifth goal of thegame. Both teams scored once in the second period to make the score 4-1 for Goderich. The locals' goal was netted by Bowman on an unassisted play, while Exeter's Robbie McLellan got one past Goderich netmender Pat Donne -11y. Exeter made it 4-2 at 4:37 of the last period with Tim Van dam beating out Justin Fagan in the net. The Vikings got balanced scoring and had strong performances by Kevin Smith in the reboun- ding department and Chris Pitre who played his best of- fensive games of the season. Jeff Denomme and Don McCallum gave steady performances throughout the tourney. Against Saugeen, Ben Melick had 14 and Paul Mc- Cartney 11 points. Chris Pitre, Jeff Denomme and Kevin Smith all had eight 'apiece, Don McCallum had six and Andrew Telford had two points. In the semi-final, Melick had 15 and Pitre added 14. McCallum and Smith hooped six apiece, Telford got four and David More two. In the final game against Our Lady of Lourdes, Chris Pitre hit for 20 points while Andrew Telford got 14 and Ben Melick, Don McCallum and Jeff Denomme added 11 apiece.
