Support your children
The Goderich Minor Hockey Association
is holding a general meeting in the
auditorium of the arena on Saturday,
January 24 at 10 a.m.
All parents of children registered are
being contacted to attend this meeting.
The importance of this meeting cannot be
stressed enough as our minor system is in
need of help.
In the past when these meetings have
been called, the executive has never seen
more than ten interested people turn out.
The executive needs more people to help in
organizing and setting up fund-raising
campaigns, new ideas, approaches, and
views as to how to run the system.
A full financial .statement will be
available and explained at this meeting
which will most ldiely shock and open the
eyes of many people as to the financial
instability of the GMHA. Without ex-
tensivehelp and advice, our system cannot
suryivie with current registration costs.
The executive fully reallici the cost of
equipping a boy as well as his tran-
sportation costs. The executive believes
current costs to be fair; however, without
help these registrations are facing in-
creases of 100-150 per cent.
The bottom line must read that the
future of your children's recreational
activity in minor hockey rests on whether
or not people begin to realize how im-
portant the motto adopted by the GMHA is.
Don't send — take your boy, to the
arena. .And while you're there, help, to
insure that his fun is continued.
