Town gives s15,000 - to hospital; • WINGHAMr- Wingham town council will be' looking, for $15,000 in its budget during the next two years as its donation to the building project at the Wingham and District Hospital. Council agreed to accept in principle • the hospital board's request for a donation, leaving it up to the finance committee to find the mone y. • However, Deputy . Reeve Harold Wild pointed out there isn't too much doubt that the money will -have `to come from the taxpayers' pockets. Thetown's donation will go towards the ” $500,000 ex pansion of office space and departments at -the hospital. The work is the first part of the two-phase program; the second phase will be- a $1.5 million expansion of the outpatient facilities : in another four or five years. The hospital board hopes top raise $100,000 toward the $500,000 project from the municipalities served by the hospital. It has sent out —requests- _ for —donations, based on what percentage of atients . treated at the come from each municipa ha.s been promised $318,000 in provincial funding and is hoping for close to $125,000 from the Huron County hospital reserve fund. r {. SMEVE MAIM Winter nuptials • North Street United Church in .Goderich was the scene of a pretty winter wedding on November 29 at4 pm, • when Steve Maize and Cindy Lafrarnboise, both of Goderich, 'were united in Marriage. The bride is the daughter of Mr. • and Mrs. - Henry • Laframboise of Goderich and the growin is the 'son 'of Mr. and Mrs.• Harold Maize of 4. R.1 Dungannon: The Reverend Robert Ball' officiated at 'the traditional wedding ceremony.. • • The bride walked down the aisle to `Here Comes the Bride' 'and was given in marriage by :her father. She wore a long white wedding gown with fur trimmed cape and matching veil and carried a bouquet of wine roses, pink miniature car- nations and white baby's. breath. Maid of honor was Lorraine Pare of Goderich. She wore a dress of rose wine color with a matching jacket. She . carried wine roses with white baby's breath Bridesmaids were Sandy McWhinney of Dungannon, Debbie Dale of Egmondville and Lisa Laframboise of Goderich. They were gowned the same as the maid of honor and carried the same flowers. Flower girl was Tara McWhinney of Dungannon. She wore a pink dress and carried a basket of wine roses and white baby's breath. Groomsman was Paul O'Donnell of Goderich_ Guests were ushered into the church by Terry Maize of Woodstock, John McGuire of Goderich and d Ron Laframboise of Edmonton, Alberta. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held, at the Lucknow Com- munity Centre. The _bride's mother greeted guests wearing a blue dress with fur trimmed jacket and a cor- sage of miniature ,white carnations with a touch of blue. The groom's mother assisted wearing a blue dress with a corsage of nosey pink miniature carnations. Guests attended the wedding and reception 'from Edmonton, Windsor, Toronto, Woodstock; Kin- cardine, Dungannon and Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Maize are residing at 271 TiltStreet in Goderrcti. _. Prior to her wedding, the' bride was feted at a shower heldin the Dungannon Agricultural Hall by Sandy McWhinney, Lite Laftamboise, Lorraine Pye, Sandra Stewart, Roxi Maize and. Betty Maize. A Trousseau Tea was also held, for her in Egmondville -by. •Debbie Dale. New economist, Jane Muegge (nee Sills) has been appointed to join the Huron County Horne Economist team with Loralee Marshall. She received her primary and secondary education in Seaforth. In 1976 .she •graduated from --Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto with a B.A.A. (Con- sumer Studies major ). - Upon graduation, she worked with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture acid Food as . a county home economist in North Simcoe for three years. Since then, .s'he has had short-term assignments with the On- tario Ministry. of Agrictilture and .Food in Perth and Ox- ford Counties.
