At a presentation to the
Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs

of Goderich this week on
behalf of the -Canadian
Cancer Society, Ross
McDaniel, vice-president of
the Huron Unit, 'pied that
$17,000 had been raised
through the Clubs': telethon
for Terry Foz's Marathon of
Hope and $8,000 through
their bike rides for cancer.
He, said that Ontario has
raised million for the
Marathon of Hope with $%
million being in south-
western Ontario alone and:
860,000 of • that coming from
Huron County.
This money will be put in a
trust fund with the interest
being used in three ways: to
assist an aspiring young
scientist • with cancer
research; to aid selected on-
going projects in cancer
research; and to help buy
new equipment for and build
revs • edditions to cancer
research facilities.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold McPhee of M -W Motors in Goderich were honoured by Volvo at a re-
cent -celebration forbeing the oldest franchised Volvo dealership in Canada. Bjorn
Ahlstrom, President, Volvo of America Corporation, presented diem both with an apprecia-
tion gift. Mr. McPhee has lived in the Goderich area since 1937, operating an automotive
business and being associated with Volvo since 1958. Mr. and Mrs. McPhee have four sons,
all in the automotive business, two of them with Harold at M -W Motors. Some 500 U.S.,
Canadian andSwedish ,'dealers 'autl'guests took part in the 25th anniversary celebration held
