in Shamrock Hockey League
competition as they • out-
scored Belmont on, their ice
Friday 5-3.
Goderich went ahead 24 in
the first period of play, with
the *first goal of the game
cunning eight minutes into
the game from Goderich's
Larry Boyce, assisted by
John Little and Joe Trebish.

the second period, with Dave

Juveniles' goal on a play set

Novices drop two games
in a row to St. Marys
The Goderich No4vices.
dropped two games in St.
Marys recently, losing 8A6 on
December 27 and falling to
defeat on January 3 by a
score of 5-2.
St. Marys° Brett Sequin
scored six times in the 8-6
loss to lead his team to
victory. After being down 3-0
in the .first period, Goderich
scared three goals in the
second to tie up the game.
Jeff Hodges, Tim Harrison,
and Richard Bowman go~ the
goals.:
The locals went ahead 4-3
in the third period on another
successful shot by Bowman.
St. Marys then tied it up
before Goderich went ahead
again with a goal by
Harrison.
St. Marys' Sequin an-
swered with four consecutive
goals to make it 8-5: Tim
Harrison managed a goal to
gain a hat trick and leave the
score at 8-6.
. The Novices travelled to
St. Marys again on Saturday
and suffered a 5-21oss. Tim
Harrison scored at 8:47 of
the first period to answer two
St. Marys goals only to have
the home team score . two
more in the second period to
'make it 4-1.
. Harrison netted
Goderich's other goal at 5:28
of the second period.
McDonald
Two goals; less than a
minute apart, put the
Juveniles ahead 5:2 in the
third. ' Dave McDonald
notched the . first; with
assistance from Dave Moore
and Randy Graham; and
Graham, netted Goderich's
last goal on a play set up by
Rob McDonald,and Moore. "

winning track again last
Saturday when they defeated
theSt. MarysAtoms65 in St.
Marys arena during
Shatirock Leagueplay.
Scott Garrow opened up
the scoring for Goderich
early in the first period,
assisted by Terry •P.an-
nabec ker but St. Marys,
scored a couple of mhmtes
later to tie things up.
Before the end of the first
,period however,. Goderich
grad scored two more goals;

for Goderich at the begin-
ning of thesecond period and
things seemed to be going
Goderich's way. Then, while
Goderieh played are initin
short due to apenalty, the St.
Marys team scored two
"goals and tied things up with
another goal four minutes
later.
Before the end of the
second period, Garrow put
Godetich out front again on a
goal assisted by Leppington.
St. Marys fought back and
tied things up once more
with only two minutes
remaiiring inthe game,, •
It looked as if Goderich
would have to settle for a tie
