Knox United Church, Auburn held their annual Christmas Eve service with their minister, Richard Hawley presiding. The processional carol was sung followed . by a welcome:by Mr. Hawley. The offering was received ily Greg Park and Bob Worsell. The Christmas story was "narrated by Mr. Hawley while members conducted• an impressive pantontire in front of a' barn* board . back stage. The choir, under she direction of organist Mrs Hannan Wiglilman and lwley sang while , WIldhael` ' Andrews, playing the role of Joseph and Patti McDowell as 1 " Mary, took their place on the platforms ' while Elizabethx;playect by Kim —_`Mc rmitelf and` Zechariah, played by Gerald McDowell,' spoke together, Gabriel, played by Carol Seers and angels, Angela. Schneider, Lori Millian and Angela Millian assisted.. The choir . sans ;: and Peter/ Postill sang the solo when Mary and Joseph brought in baby Richard Rody of Vanastra. The choir then sang while shepherds Kim McDowell, pebble Cunningham, Janice Daer and Linda Ciin- ningham brought the glad news. Example are timing up me car, turning down the thermostat or checking the Weather-stripping on doors and windows. The survey is the latest in an on -gong research study initiated last March by the Ministry . of Energy to gauge consumer attitudes towards energy conservation The March benchmark survey was .followed up with a survey in September. The survey was.conducted by telephone in September with residents of Ontario, 18 years of age and older. A total of 88k persons, were interviewed. Those who tend to con- serve the most continue to be married, female, 18-24 years of age, those with post- secondary education, and owneis'of one car.
