In his President's speech, Itenitulla indicated that the work of the Lung Association -in Huron -Perth counties has been extensive. Health Education pro= grants have increased and new programs introduced. ' Adults with chronic ' lung .cfis(rase have benefitted as have children • with asthiiia. People wishing to quit snlk- utg have succeeded through the UUUN'I'- IX)bVN courses and the? school .program has reached tunny students. A large number of requests for lung health infor- mation have been filled and industries and businesses are using Lung Assocation guidelines, 11 develop their No Smoking Policy. - 'I'he Christmas Seal campaign showed a slight increase over the previous year and a new Spring Appeal is presently taking 'plac'e,`Vledical researeh has been funded at. the national add provincal levels and support w;15 also given to the International Union Against 'Tuber( ilosis. Goderich Music Boester's Butyl -a -t on has been a huge success thanks to the help of Robertson (rade 3 to 8 and Victoria Grade ti students. Approximately $1500 has been raised after expenses. A special thunk you to the community for yOtl'1' donations and contributions. Prizes to bc', ' distributed on Awards Day. June 22. ,June 15 - The 1ambton county Museum and the Ferguson Apiary was visited by the (1rade 4 and (Ir'ad.e 1-2 classes. The students had the opportunity to learn w11i1t the'ternl "busy like.a bee" meant. The (irink 6 classes from Victoria jollied our grade 6 class for a Fun Day and infor- mation about instrumental music. The in- strumental programme is available to all students entering into (:rade 7. This was a noisy time for all, as they were given the • chance to actually play different in- • •str'urnents. For a minimal charge, hot clogs, chips and pop were provided for lunch, with any proceeds going to Music Booster's. This was an excellent •opportunity for Robertson and Victoria students to meet with each other for a fun filled event. ,lune 16 - Both morning and afternoon K1ndergarten'classes joined together for a walk to Harbour Park, for lunch, and then to the beach, to walk the Board Walk, and to play in the sand. .iune 17 - "Mr. Hermans Productions" presented the school and parents with an ex- citing two hours of entertainment. ;Most of the Grade 8 students were involved and hosting their very own Vaudeville Show. There were hundreds of laughs and even a few "lumps in the throat" as these graduating teams put on skits, songs and in- strumental selections. At the end of the 'ening four students honoured their teachers individually with 0 musical number cornpleteewith choreography. A tired but happy class arriv- ed back in'Goderu'h.at 10:30 p.m. .lune 18 - Our (rade 4 class entertained a large audience of students and parents with their unique production of Snow White, The well-known story was inventively altered to the delight of the audience. Adding to the production %a5 !IIUSic provided by a piano and a solo by. Snow White I .Juliet Redmond "Sono) Day. My Prince Will ('orae". Grade 1 had their year end picnic at Barbour Park. They had 11 scavenger hunt and a crazy hat and t -shirt contest. The sunny weather allowed a game of t -ball. ,June 19 - The (,rade 8 Graduation Trip to anada's Wonderland was a fun filled day for all. The students who were brave enough to vinturt.onto the "Bat". lived to tell about It. The (Trane :3's brought to school some very Interesting lunches made by someone? Desserts and drinks were served by Mrs. Scratch. A good time was had by all. The (Trade'5 class under -the direction of Mrs. Hutchison incl Mr. Currie pr'e'sented a variety of music from the 50's through to the 80's, "Many Moods of Music" was presented at both Robertson and Victoria Schools.
