t of summer concert series
The eighteenth consecutive summer of
..Sunday evening lions Harbour •Park Con-
certs will commence un Jute 213 with a c•un-
ce rt each Sunday evening through to and
including August 30. The opening concert
will present the music of the Goderich
Laketown Band, under the,rdirection of
Bruce Cookson. Featured soloists will be
baritone vocalist Jeff Hearn and trom-
bonist Nancy Hearn, both of Clinton, Doug
Bundy, the 1 aketown. Band's regular
roaster .of ceremonies, will handle the
announcements.
This Surruiier's schedule present., a line•
array of talent to Include concert hand,,
country and western, bluegrass, gospel,
novelty. 'and the items very best, pipe
bands. !Mary Lynne Telford's highland
dancers will share the concert of .1(d\ 12
with the very highly regarded Fergus Pipe
Band. The latter organization w Ill be mak,
ing its first appearance at the summer
concert series.

SUNDAY, JUNE 28 - The Dungannon
Memorial Cemetery Service will be held at
3 p•rri. at the Dungannon Cemetery.

Worship Service and special music is be-
ing -arranged.
THURSDAY, JUNE 24 - A busload froth
the Flint, Michigan Lawn .Bowling Club
will visit„tho Goderich Lawn Bowling Club
at the dotal greens for a series of friendly
(matches. The visitors will be given a guid-
ed tour of the area as well. Goderich Lawn
Bowlers are invited to comic out and meet
the visitors -arid play a few g4ames. Bring
your own lunch:

Forestry club
holds meeting

On May 26, the North Huron Forestry
Club held their first meeting at Brookside
School with 14 members and 2 leaders
present.
Doreen Cartive from the Ministry of
Natural' Resources attended th meeting
'and took the members outside to
demonstrte the proper way to plant a tree.
After that, she showed the rriembers some
slides and some members had Some ques-
tions for her. Barry'Nivins thanked her for
coming to show as these things. .
Next, the members picked Robert
Ireland as the president. Linda Hayden is
the vice-president, Eugene Scott is the
secretary; Warren Andrew is the press
reporter and Joel Wright is the treasurer.
All the votes were close.
Leaders Donna Hayden and Joanne
Sproul handed out the booklets and read
';'some of it: Next. two games were played
and the meeting was adjourned. No date
was set for the next meeting.
