the Goderich Horticultural Society will
take the form of a garden tour. Meet at the

Naval Association yard sale will be held at
the Grandstand, in Goderich from 8 a.m. to
12 noon.

Mocha Temple 12 -piece band will be ap-
pearing at the Goderich Legion Jubilee
room on from 2-6 p.m. No charge, but a col-
lection will be taken. Welcome adults only

Huron Country Playhouse to
hold season kick-off June 20
On Saturday, June 20. at 6:00 p.m., Huron
Country Playhouse will kick off its loth An-
niv.ersary season. The evening begins with a
chicken BBQ with trimmings served up by
the Board of Directors while special musical
entertainment will be provided by Musical
Directors Michael Mulroonev and Jai -nes
Grey. Dessert and coffee will follow the
silent and live auction, the highlight for
those in attendance when they obtain their
skillful bargains.
Some of the .many items include: two
nights at The Constellation Hotel for, two
adults and two children, one season's use of
a Kubota riding lawn mower tractor, one
pair of adult water skiis, brass table lamp,
private air show for 12 with cocktails and
hors d'oeuvres, hand -made quilt,. outdoor
lawn furniture, gift certificates for several
local restaurants, paintings, and many,
'many more items.
This evening has been offered for $3.50 to,
.Subscribers and only $7.00 to anyone who
would like to .join in on the festivities.
Wickets for this night -out are available by
calling the Playhouse at 238-8451, before Ju-
ly 15. •.
Huron West WI holds district
meeting in Blyth recently
BLYTH' - The Huron West Women's In-
stitute 87th District Annual meeting was '
held in Blyth United Church. The theme was
A Heritage.of Agriculture. It was hosted by
the Blyth Branch,
• The meeting was called to order by' Mrs.
Cecil Elliott, district president. The district
directors were ratified by Mrs. Harry
Dougall of Exeter, Federated.Women's In-
stitute of Ontario board director.
Entertainment was provided by Dungan-
non Branch•'for the morning session.
, . Mrsr Harry • Dougall reported the
highlights of the FWIO board of directors
meeting held last month.. Plans 'for 90th an-
niversary of the FWIP also were outlined to'
be held in North Bay. Cheryl Brine from the
Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food
spoke briefly on upcoming 4-H adult
courses. '
A smorgasbord meal.was served by Blyth
ladies. A 90th anniversary cake was cut by
past president Mrs. Graham.McNee. There
were six past presidents present. Crafts
were sold by,the'MaltldndBranch...
The guest • spoke on ' the . Butler Pro-
ject a Heritage of Agriculture for Ontario
Schools, which was started by Oxford North
and South Districts. .
