Fashion show

Today's look in fashion will be presented
in a two hour showing to take place in Clin-
ton on Saturday night, June 6.
The Clinton Arena will be transformed
into a fashion showcase for the display
.which will involve five area stores, in-
cluding Webster's Clothing and Footwear
of Blyth, The Old Mill, one mile south of
Blyth, Creative Lady and Jacqueline's of
Exeter and Samantha's of Goderich.
Ruth Webster, owner. -of Webster's
Clothing will be showing a variety of
casual wear for summer. Jam shorts and
the denim look in boys', wear, formal
dresses for Women, golf wear and blazer
and slacks_ attire for men will be shown.
Web'ster's Clothing has fashions for the
whole family in formal or casual styles:
They carry such well known lines as Sweet
Baby Jane and Better Blouses, Forsythe
shirts for .men and Magee tweed jackets.
As well, the store offers a variety of
footwear, from sneakers to canvas
casuals, ladies' pumps to slippers.
The Old Mill is well known for its ex-
cellent line of furs and leather in the most
elegant, nouveau . styles. The Old Mill is
also known for the exceptional fashion
show extravaganzas that have been
presented in the past. Theirhalf-hour seg-
ment att,Tradefest promises to offer more
- of the same. In their unique, contemporary
style, the models from The Old Mill will
present a selection of sophisticated fashion
looks. Cottons and Wools, furs and
-leathers, suits and tee-shirts will be
modelled in this display that features both
dance -and dynamic design:
Louben, Spanner, Magnolia, Riveria and
Chagall are some of the quality labels that
can be found in the clothing line at
Creative Lady in Exeter. In business for
just over one year, Creative Lady
specializes in fine women's'clothing for all
ages and all style tastes: In the Clinton
fashion show, owner Tammy Bowan and
her models will be showing a variety of
styles,, including, swimwear, sports wear
and formal dress. In all some 18 outfits will
be modelled.
A second Exeter clothing store, Jac-
queline's will also be taking part in the
fashion show, Jacqueline's caters to the
full figure woman; specializing in clothing
from sizes 14 to 44. This Main Street Ex-
eter store carries such well known name
brands as Koret, Tan Jay and Paris Star,
as well as a extensive line of lingerie,
jewellery and scarves.
In the six months that Samantha's of
Goderich has been in operation, owner
Maureen Bisset has taken part in- two
fashion shows. The Clinton event will be
her third show and more than 45 outfits
will be displayed. Bathing suits ant sports
wear, summer print skirts, jumpsuits and
sun dresses will be featured in this seg- •
ment that will focus on casual, comfor-
table looks for the season. Samantha's also
carries formal dress looks, and specializes
in lingerie and contemporary fashions.
Third Dimension, Regency, Lori Ann and
Junior Scend are some of the quality
makes of clothing that can be found in this
store located at the Suncoast Mall.
The Clinton Spring Fair fashion show
will be held at the Clinton Arena on June 6.
The show gets underway at 7 p.m.
