The first was to the fire department and the second was to the Goderich Library. Thank - you to both Mr. I)inenn of the fire depart- ment and the helpful staff at the library. In the grade six class, Japan is the thing. 'l'he grade sixes have been very busy at stu- dying Japan. They are also shaping up for track and field which is on May 27. Interest has been shown by some classes in measuring the levels of sound. One of the items tested was • a ghetto blaster which reached 104 decibels, the same amount of sound as an accelerating motorcycle. Grade 7B Mr. Spittal's class had a very successful garage sale making over $200 for the class trip to Camp Sylvan. Special thanks to the Henry's, Mrs. Ayres, Mrs. ..(look, Mrs. Watson, Carolyn Hurd and to the A&P. Mr. Bogie's grade eights are beginning a major piece of art depicting. an episode from the novel Moonfleet. The grade 4-8s.are now starting two -pitch. Jr. Farmers camp Set for Sept. ..5-12 '1'he opportunity of a lifetime is just around the corner for Junior Farmer members in Huron County. Each year. the Rural Organizations and Services Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food organize and conduct a Provincial Leadership Camp for local Junior Farmer members aged 17-24 as of January 1, 1987.. . It is a week-long experience, September 5 to 12, to•provide prospective leaders with fa • • training experience which will assist them in providing more effective leadership to local youth clubs and activities.
