A circus will be held Sunday .at the Memorial Community Centre at 2 pm and 6 pm with
• many exciting events planned. ('raiggles the Clown from Clownland welcomes all to at-

this weekend with tigers, !aerial act's,
elephants, comedy routines and comedy
musicals if they plan to attend the George
Carden Circus International on Sunday.
The circus, to be held at Memorial Com-
munity Centre, will be at 2 pm and (i pm. It
is sponsored by. the Junior t' Sailors
Hockey Club. •
Craiggles the clown, who did the ad-
vance work for the circus, took time out to
talk with ,, the Signal Star about
occupation.
He has been a clown for about five years
although he admitted his beginnings
started in,school. He was the youngest in
his family and was used to being the centre •.
of attention.
"A goodpart of our fancily togetherness
revolved around humour,” he.said, adding;
that a lot of time was spent watching; old
movies citing Abbott and Costello and
Charlie Chaplan as examples.

C"raiggles is originally from Manchester,
New Hampshire and has travelled as a
clown to such places as Milwaukee, •
I)cnveT;, Texas, Arkansas, Winnipeg and
Texas. This is his first time, in Goderich.
• After graduating • from .high . school,
('raiggles attended the Ringling Brothers .
and Barnum and Bailey Clown College ,
where he learned the basic fundamentals
of circus clowning.. .
He said some of the highlights of this
Sunday's show include Henry the Vaga-
• bund with a comedy routine and Sir 'Louis •
who will do a backward somersault
through a paper hoop in mid-air. ,

tight rope walking, uni-cycling; and various
magic acts.
'Picket prices are adults. $(i, students. $4
and children 12 and under will he admitted
free with a' coupon which Will be
distributed today at area public schools.
