Plaque honors
member of
Arthur Circle
The Arthur Circle Auxiliary met April 2Q
for the Easter Worship Service.
Joyce Horne opened the meeting with
prayer, followed by a dedication of a plaque
in memory of one of the members, Helen
McManus. Rev. G.L.Royal offered a prayer
and placed the plaque.
President Joyce Garriok gave an infor-
mative talk on India of which the Bible
study for 1987 is about.
The Garage Sale was decided for Friday ,
May 8 at 6 p.w. in the church hall, also May
18 was agreed for a pot luck supper withe
WMS as a joint meeting.
Madeline Ritchies group was in charge of
the devotions and speaker. "God is Among
Us" was the Easter theme and read respim-
sively. Several hyiluis were seeing ,and
readings and scripture was read by Martha
Hopkins, Chris Hyde, Sadie Gilders and Pat
White. Madeline introduced Madeleine Ed-
ward who spoke about and showed pictures
of Ewart College which has trained Women
Missionaries' for 90 years. Marlene Starkey
thanked Madeleine for her interesting talk.
Joyce Garrick closed the.. meeting with
prayer.
Winnie Walters' group was in charge of
the March 16 meeting. The legend of the
schamrock was read and several poems and
scripture passages also were read.
Winnie stated to the grorup "the aim and
purpose" of the WMS. Mr. Dave Thorne was
the speaker. He talked about SEARCH.
The Irish blessing was paid together to
close the service.
