According. to Robertson coach Doug Cur-
rie. Colborne won because Wark, at over
six feet, dominated the game. An elemen-
tiry school .basketball team with a six
footeris difficult to beat, he said.
Both' Colborne teams completed the
round robin part of the tounament
undefeated.
Robertson boys provided Colborne with
their toughest' competition in the. first
game. Work's 22 points were the dif-
ference as Colborne . nipped Robertson
28-25.
in the second game Holmesville beat •
Brookside, 16-14 and Chris Colborne and
.irff Storey each scored eight points to pro-
vide all the offence Holmesville would
need. •
•Rob i.umley scored 14 points as Robert-
son coasted to an easy 22-6 win in game
three. •
Game four saW Wark again dominate for
Colborne as he scored 14 points to lock-up a
38-15 win over Holmesville.
The fifth game would decide who would
meet Colborne in the final and I,umley's
ten points gave Robertson a 38-14 victory
over Holmesville and, put them in the
championship;.
Game six against Brookside provided •
Colborne with a tune up for the champion-
ship as they won 28-18. Wark again was,
high scorer with ten points.
Game one in •the girls tournament saw
Miller score 15 point's to give' Colborne a
24-10 Win over Robertson. -
Holmesville hammered Brookside 20-8
in game two. Trisha McDonald led with six
points.
Robertson handed Brookside its second'
staight loss 28-12 in game .three. Angie
James scored six points.to led her team.
Colborne and Holmesville met in game
four. It was a tight game that Colborne
won by one point 21-20. Miller scored 13
points in the championship preview,, ,
Robertson played Holmesville in game
five with the winner to play Colborne in the
finals. Jackie Banter scored nine points to
give Holmesville 17-16 win. ,
As with the boys, Brookside provided a
championship tune-up for Colborne. Col-
borne coasted to a 27-10 win on the strength
of Alison Clark's ten points.
