to Playhouse
(;RAND BEND - Polka Dot Dour Live,
'adapted frurri TVOntario'y highly successful
television series, will be at the Playhouse on
August 24 for two separate appearances -
the„first one being at 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.
- children are enchanted by Polkaroo, the
colorful costumed character who appears in
the programs.
The show is produced by Gairey Richard-
son, president of Child's Play Productions,
and one of the hosts of the TV series, seen
daily on TVOntario.
TVOntario's Polka Dot Door is one of
North America's most successful and
durable shows for children. The philosophy
behind the series and the show is simple,
children learn through play. Polka Dot Door
encourages children to be active pnr-
ticipants rather than passive spectators.
The toy characters are appealing, and the
variety of hosts, both male and female, who
appear as grown-up friends un the pro-
grams, provides an opportunity for children
to rne.4 personalities with diverse
backgrounds.
