They will. be packing Easter baskets. • Mrs, Elliot Lapp attended the 25th Annual London Conference for the UCW at the Metropolitan Church, London on April 6-7. Unit I1 will be having a visiting meeting at 7:30 p.in. on Wednesday, April 15 and the business meeting will start at 8:30 p.m. at the church. Mrs. E.G. Lapp returned. to tier home in St. Thomas after visiting Mr, and Mrs. ' Elliot Lapp. Congratulations to Mr. Norman McDowell who celebrated his 80th birthday on April 12. Euchre party There were seven tables in play at the euchre party held Tuesday evening April 7 at the Community Hall. Euchre parties are held every 'Tuesday evening at 8 p,in. in the ('uuununity Elall. Holy Communion Reverend Shuttleworth conducted the morning' Palm Sunday service at Knos United Church. Easter lilies adorned the sanctuary. Organ and piano prelude was by Mrs. Gordon Gross and Lori Millian. The junior choir marched into the church carrying palm branches and placing thein at the front of the sanctuary. The senior and junior choirs sang 'Hosanna Lord'. The junior choir sang 'Children of Jerusalem' under the direction of Mrs. Allan Webster. The senior choir sang 'Ride Un'. The children's hymn :Praise Him, Praise Hini' was sung and then Rev. Shuttleworth told the children's story before they went to Sun- day School with teachers Mrs. Fred Arm- strong, . and Lori and Donna Lynn Armstrong. Prayer of confession was read responsive- ly, followed by the Lord's prayer.b The minister's sermon was entitled" -The Winds of the Cross." The offering was received by Greg Park, Murray Hollison, Boh Worsell and Roger Cunningham. Rev. Pickell of Goderich, supervising minister, served communion. Servers were Elliot Lapp, Ernest Durnin, Dorothy Grange, Lawrence Plaetzer, Tom Cunn- ingham and Ken Ramsey. "Victory in Jesus" was sung and the pastor pronounced the benediction. The ser- vice closed with the congregational benedic- tion "Lord We Pray." A cross was given to everyone by the ushers at the door, a gift from Rev. and Mrs. Shuttleworth - Robbie Bogie (left) points out his work of art to his mother Pauline Bogie and sister Kristyn, during an open house for the Art Kids program, held Friday evening at the Goderich Branch of the Huron County Library. The works will be on display at the library until April 25.
