EMPLOYEE SAFETY RECORD Ontario Hydro received top marks for employee safety last year. For the second year in a row there were no 'on-the-job accidents resulting in death or _permanent.. .permanent, disability to any Hydro employee. RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS Ontario Hydro met ' with emergency response officials from across the province this month for discussions about the transportation of radioactive materials. The seminar was part of an education pro- gram begun by Ontario Hydro in 1979 for fire, ambulance and police officials, Over 60 • people.. attended the all -day workshop held at the utility's conference centre in Orangeville. Participants were presented with a field guide on the topic and were shown the latest detection and response equipment used to handle any emergency involving radlioac- tive materials.
