theatre performance—Tuesday morning. Cascade Theatre Company, based in Toronto,
travelled to the school to present "The Scatterbrain Bookie" a play about the life of a poor,
young girl named Bookis and her family who lived iI Toronto during the years of the
Depression: Performing in the play were Lezlie Wle, David Jorgenson and Valerie
Jorgenson. Students from Sacred Heart in Wingham, St. Jospeph's in'Kingsbridge and St.

Peters seeks PC nomination
Nico Peters., a 36 year old Tuckersinith
Township farmer. has declared his inten-
• tion' to seek the Conservative nomination
for the Huron Riding in the next provincial
election.
Peters sans he is aware of the frustra-
tions felt throughout the towns and the
townships over being bypassed •in the
. ecgnort'tie boom presently enjoyed by most
other areas Of the province.
"With the present government's tax in-
" crease and a one billion dollar unexpected
windfall, people here are beginning to
question why funds aren't. being used to
promote the fortunes and long term pro-
sperity c)f our local communities," say:-

Peters is an active member in several
community .and agricultural. organizations
and serves as a.t=ice-president for the Huron
P.C. Association.
At this year's Progressive Conservative
nomination meeting on April •14 in Clinton,
the guest speaker will be Philip Andrewes.
The meeting .will be held at Central Duron
. Secondary School starting at 8 p.m.
Philip Andrewes was first elected to the
Ontario Legislature on March 19, 1981,.
