weekend and brings with it thoughts Of
renewing our ties with outdoor, sports.
Especially baseball and softball.
Actually softball has been a resurging
sport in Goderich and last . year the
Goderich bantam boys teams played ex-
tremely well • in the Western Ontario
Athletic Association (WOAA) seven -team
league.
The bantam teams, which includes boys
under the age of 16 as of Jan. 1, 1987, will
begin practice sessions soon and the
coaches are asking that anyone interested
in playing ball contact Mike .Russelo at
524-9501 or Ray Hurd at 524-7883..
Last year Goderich had Vivo entries in
the seven -team WOAA league with the one
team reaching the finals against Owen
Soilnd. The other teams in the league were
iMcknow, Cargill, Tiverton, Wingham,
Belmore and Ripley.
If interest is as keen as last year, more
than one team will be entered in the league
again.
