The Royal Canadian Legion held their annual literacy and poster
contest recently. Winners from grades 4-6 were: -Carolyn Turnbull
(Robertson - lst poem)., Kelly Muir (Robertson -• 3rd essay),
Heather Blackwell (Colborne - 1st poster); Lena Soots (Robertson -
• 2nc1 poster). Joey Sherratt (St. Mary's - 2nd poem), Krista Glenn •
(Victoria - 20. essay), R.osemary Linton (Colborne - 1st essay),
'Shelley Englestad (Victoria - 3rd poem) and Jeff Phelan (St.
Mary';§ - 3rd poster). Carolyn Turnbull's poem placed second in the
zone contest.

'Robertson had a music night on Thursday,
MVlarch.5. The• primary choir, the senior
choir and., the grade "7 instrumental band
performed. About 230 people performed.
The community enjoyed a wonderful
presentation. . ,
4-H members are spirited
Videos, word puzzles, demonstrations,
board games,, relays, group discussions
that -,s what the 1987 4-H program is made of !
4-H memhrrs are a .very active and
spirited group; of young adults;. ages 12-21.
They have high expectations, are energetic,
and enjoy learning by doing.
To keep pace with these up-to-date
members, several 4-H projects have been

of activities like videos and relays,to make
