Goderich ' Kinsmen and Kinettes, will be
held April 26 beginning at 2 p.m. Entry

and The Met. The total route is 20 km.

Rehearsals fur the Stratford Festival's
1987 season are underway. Work began
Monday Feb. 23 un Festival Theatre produc-
tion of Mother Courage and The School for
Scandal. -
Mother (.'curage is directed by Festival -
Artistic Director John Neville with design
by Sue LePage and music composed by Ber-
thold Carriere. It features Susan 'Wright in
the title role with Brent Carver, Darcy Gor-
don and Anne Wright as her children, James
Blendick as the Cook, Richard Cur -nock as
the Chaplain, Kim Horsman as Yvette,
William Needles as the Old Colonel and
Stephen Russell as the General. Mother
Courage opens .June 3 'previews begin May

Blyth Festival Singers present
concert of music March 29
CLINTON - The Myth Festival Singers
will be staging the second concert in -the cur-
rent season, a program at sacred music to
be performed on Sunday, March 29 at 'p.m.
and 8 p.m. at Ontario Street United ('hnrch.
The Festival Singers have chosen a wide-
ranging repertoire of sacred music, from
works by well-known Canadian composer
Heale' Willan to familiar compositions by
Mozart, Beethoven and Hander Singers'
member Phil Telfer will perform the tenor
solo in Cesar F.ranck's beautiful `'0 Lord
Most HorY". .
Highlight of the concert •will be the perfor-
mance of Schubert's Mass in B flat. Joining ,
the choir for this work will be Anita. Ruthig,,
soprano, St. Mary's; Lisa` Philpott,' alto.,
,London; tenor Derrick Long; Stratford: and
bass John Wilkinson. also of Stratford. The
concert will be performed under the direc-
tion of Angus Sinclair, Stratford, and ac-
companied by Louise. McGregor of Clinton.
Angus Sinclair joined the Festival Singers
this year. Laurie, Rowbotharr previously
conducted"the choir since its inception six
years ago.
The new conductor brings to the Festival
Singers an impressive list of talents and
musical accomplishments. HO' holds several
degrees in musical education and this sum-
mer will further his studies inCambridge,'

currently acts as chairman for the Rug. ,,r
Canadian College of Organists. As well, he
leads the eight -member Gallery Singers 1.f

ed'accordion player'and plays piano in
Stratford night club.
