Bazinet in the final three minutes of the
garlic to defeat the Wt4te team for the
atom house league championship'Sunday.
The White team led 1-0 after one period

son assisting. The Blue team tied the game
as By an 'Million, on an unassisted effort,
scored the only goal of the second period.
The Blue Wain went ahead in the final
period ;is Jeff Klages scored on an
unassisted effort but jfist two minutes
later. Ltimenesse scored his second of the
,;acne to tie the score 2-2. With less than
eminutes remaining, 13azinet scored
the winner and the, Blue, team won the
championship.

While Goderich reached the B Division
final last year befor•e,.losing, their fortune
wasn't as good this year. The Lions lost the
opening game to Mt: Forest by shots on
goal after the teams had played to a 4-4 tie.
Trailing 4-1. Goderich mounted 'an im-
pressive cornebackthat included two goals
in thea final minute to tie the game. and
firer. overtime. They were eliminated
:after a •3-0 loss ;to Listowel Saturday.
Action continues each and every day and
this evening Wednesday ) the A Cham-
pionship will be played at 7:50 p.m. The AA
championship will be played at 7:50 p.m.
Friday and it will be followed by the i)
Division final at 9 p.m. The I) consolation
game was set for (3:40 p.in. Friday.
The tournament wraps up Saturday with
the 13 Division consolation final going at
1 ; 1f) p.111. and the final at 2:30 p.m. The ('
Division con.;olatinn final at 3:50 p.m. and
the championship at 5:10 p.m. wrap up the
tournament.

A courageous Goderich 'A' comeback ef-
fort was stifled in overtime Friday night as
Mount Forest outshot the locals 6-1 to win
the first game of 13 Division play.
The . arnr was decided on overtime shots
on gnat after the teams played to a 4-4 tie in
10 -minute sudden death.
(l,�c rrhrich scored two goals in the last
1:0'to send the game into overtime.

first period on hack-to-haiCk goals by left-
winger Shane Cooper at 4:3.7 and Mike

Doug Rivers got one hack for Goderich
before the first period's end.
Mount Forest went up 4-1 on second -
period goals defenceman Greg Mac-
Donald and centreman Paul Cameton.
Goderich came hack with three third
period goals as Mount Forest seemed to
tiro with only 12 players.
Paul Wheeler scored at 8:36 with a seem-
ingly harmless shot past Mount. Forest

McDonald deflected a Mark Phillips shot
with Lumley on the bench for ah extra
skater with 1:01 remaining in the third
period to make it 4-3,

mark with three seconds left in the period
after two neat /passes by Aaron Duckworth
and 'McDonald.
Goderich killed off a penalty in the
10 -minute sudden death after McDonald
got a two -minute hooking penalty at 3:12.

Friday evening. The 38th edition of the tournament features 58

The ( loderich Peewee las came up with a
solid two-way effort in defeating Zurich 5-0
in Huron -Perth "Tier 11 play in Zurich Fri-
day evening.
Goderich scored two goals in the first

completed the rout with two more in the
final period while goaRenders .Jason

to share the shutout.
The win was a team effort for Goderich

The Goderich Duplicate Bridge Club
played a four and a half table Howell game
at the Legion March 9 and the average
score was. 36 points.
in first place with 43 points were
Theresa and John Donatis, followed by Pat
Stringer. and Cathy McDonald, the direc-
tor. with 41': points. Marg Hall•and Ralph
Kingswell were third with 40'points.
The average score was 84 points when an
eight -table Mitchell' game was played- at
the club's March 10 meeting.
John Donatis and Bill Bradley finished
first in the North-South division with 91.5
points while Dick Simpson and Jack Grace
settled for second place, one-half point
behind the winners. Penny Peters and Lyn
Todgharp were third with. 89 points 'and
Betty and Ray Fisher had 87 points.
Mary 11nnneily and Eleanor 'Erskine
combined for 94 points to win the East-
West section while Barb Howe and Mat ion
Lane were second with 92,5 points. Joanne
Gilchrist. and i,ee Ryan were third with 91

paine were fourth with 87 points,
