MRS.-WINIF'RED WINTER
Mrs. Winifred Winter of Goderich died at
Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on
Thursday, March 12 at the age of 94.
A member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church, she was born in Liverpool, England
on March 17, 1892 to the late Harry Forsey
and the Rimier Martha Walker. Her hus-
band, George Thomas Winter, died in 1953.
Surviving are one son, Rev. John Winter
of London, and two .isters,,Sister Margaret
Winter of London and Barbara I Mrs. Joseph
Moerbeek I of Goderich. Eight grand-
children and eight great-grandchildren also
survive.
She was predeceased by two sons, George
119831 and William 11974 i.
Prayers were held Thursday evening,
March 12; at the McCallum and Palla
Funeral Hone. A funeral mass was held at
St. Peter's Roman ('a•tholic Church on Fri-
day, March 13 with Rev. John Winter of-
ficiating assisted by Rev. Joseph Hardy,
Rev: A. Luebac'h and Rev. Al Williams.
Pallbearers were Steve Harnmill, Bob
liicks,'John Moerbeek JR., Morley Leeking,
John Donatis•and Art Freeman.
Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery,
1 ondon.
JAMES 1 BENJAMIN) PARSONS
Mr. Jaynes ( Benjamin i Parsons died li ri-
day',. March 13 in Owen Sound in his 74th
year.
Born in Goderich on March 28, 1913; he
was the son of the late Lionel G. and Hattie
• J. Parsons. He was•the namesake of the
O IT A IES
first Mayor of Goderich.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary
Alice 'Johnston; two daughters, Lynne and
Anne Kirk, both of Owen Sound; one son,
Jaynes of Woodbridge; four grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren; one brother,
George of Goderich; and two sisters, Mary
Mrs. William 'Telford) of Owen Sound and
Peggy I Mrs. John Curdnghame I of RR 2
Wiarton.
He was predeceased by' one brother, John
in Australia.
'l'he: funeral service and inter•rnent was
'held in Owen Sound on Monday, March 16.
MAJOR ('OLIN CAMERON HUNTER
Mjor Colin 'Cameron. Hunter,' retired
MBE, R('E, of 142 Cecil Street in Sarnia,
.died at his residence on Friday, March 13 at
the age of 77..
Mr.. Hunter was a retired chief chemist
with Imperial Oil..
Beloved husband of Evelyn j MacAdams)
Hunter. Dear father of Mrs. Sheila Gormley
and her husband Brian of Sarnia, John and
his wife Monica Hunter of Chatham and
Miss Diane Hunter of Sarnia. Loving grand-
father of Jason, •Greg, Alex and Andrew.
Predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Jean
Copeland and Mrs. Beatrice Oliver and
Township residents enjoy

the Colborne 'Township Hall, Carlow. On

Mrs. (G.) Helen Schoemaker of Saltford
has returned- home from a visit with her
. mother and relatives and friends in Holland.

.home..from an enjoyable" visit with Reg's
brother Ben and his wife and family in
Mrs. Mary Moore, a long-time resident of
.Saltford, has moved to an apartment on
Cambria Road in Goderich. • '

late Mrs.' Hunte Clutton, 'Mrs. 'Clutton,
before her marriage taught school at
number 5 school and later at Toole, Perth
County and also at Port. Perry north of
Oshawa. After her marriage of Mr. Hume
Clutton, they farrned'in Colborne Township
-for Many :year's and specialized in Pure
Breed llolsteinFriesian Cattle.' When their
son Bill • took over the faun, they built
Dunlop Motel on Highway 21 and operated
this for' nine years. Their son Jim and wife
Marguerite 'operated the motel for many
years when Mr. and 'M'ts. 'Clutton retired
and built a house on their property but on
the highway to Carlow. Mr. and Mrs. Hume
Clutton . were well-known in Colborne
Township and beyond.

meeting will be held Thursday, March 26 at
,1:45 p.m. in Colborne Township Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. ,James Reaburn and
children from i„Ike Harbour, N.W.f., have
been visiting James parents, Mr.'and Mrs.

Stewart Funeral Home,.Sarnia, on Wednes-
day, March 18 with Arch. D. F. C. McRitchie
officiating. Interment in I.akeview
Cemetery, Sarnia. '
Memorial donations to the Sarnia
Humane Society of the Red Cross would be
appreciated.
ELVA MAY OSBALDESTON
At the age of 7894 Elva May Osbaldeston, of
40 Park Street, Goderich, died in the Alex-
ander Marine' 'and General Hospital on
March 6.
Mrs. Osbaldeston was born. on May 15,
1908 to the late Robert and Annie I Nott 1
Smith in Hullett Township. On June 2, 1934
she married Amos J. Osbaldeston in
Clinton.
A member of Victoria Street United
Church, Goderich, Mrs. Osbaldeston was
also a past district deputy and past noble
grand of the Goderich Rebekah Lodge 89. On
March 8, the Lodge held a memorial service
for her.
Mrs. Osbaldeston is survived by her hus-
band, one son, Ronald of Paisley, and five
grandchildren. .
She was predeceased by one
granddaughter.
A funeral service `was held on March .9 at
the Beattie Funeral Horne, Clinton, with
Rev. John Wood of Victoria Street United
•Church officiating.
Interment in Clinton Cemetery:
