Marriage enrichment will be the focus of a
series of discussion group sessions beginn-
ing April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at 185 Keays Street in
Goderich. The program is being sponsored
by Goderich Community Psychiatric Ser-
vicek according to Joy Daymond.
The discussions will be based on "Train-
ing in Marriage Enrichment ( TIMEL"
"Training in „Marriage Enrichment
(TIME)", by Don Dinkmeyer and Jon
Carlson, is a group discussion program
designed to help a couple achieve a more 'in-
timate, honest, cooperative relationship
while experiencing greater joy and love.

Utilizing the same principles and
philosophies proven so succesisful in the
STEP and STEP -Teen parenting !programs,
TIME provides skills, ideas and lairtivities to
develop a fulfilling, growing marriage
relationship.
The program is organized ar Lind "Time
for a Better Marriage", the articipant's
handbook. Each of the book's ten chapters,
from which the group sessions are built, em-
phasizes a specific skill to help a couple
develop a better relationship. The program
focuses on: the goals of marital behaviour,
the need to accept responsibility, understan-
o i erich
ding yoUr relationship, life style, and the
games couples play, encouragement in the
marriage relationship, honesty and open-
ness, and the importance of expressing feel-
ings, communication skills, choices in the
marital relationship, conflict and methods
of resolution, self-help procedures for main-
taining your marriage.

Leslie Rose of the Canadian Institute of
Stress, Toronto, will be returning to the area
on April 8 and 9 to do two workshops, one on
stress management and assertiveness for
women, and a second one on stress manage-
ment and coping skills for rural couples and
interested individuals.
Rose has a Master's Degree in counselling
and Human Relations and seven years ex-
perience teaching stress management and
other human resource skills. lie is current-
ly Co-ordinator of Training fMhe Canadian
Institute of Stress. His workshops em-
phasize learning practical skills ror dealing
