This week in Mrs. Young's grade 1-2 class,
Lisa Menary. is "All About Me". Lisa even
has pictures.• of her Dad when he was. in
public school and Mr. D. Cameron was -his,
teacher. The grade 1 -group has begun a"unit .
on "Time" and the grade 2.group is learning
number facts to 12. .
Grade 6, Room 7
On February 12, Miss Clynick and Mrs.
Tebutt took grade 6 students outdoors on a
cross-country ski trip. • , Those who didn't
have skis used snowshoes. It was a great
'morning and everyone came back rosy-
cheeked and invigorated.

-Mrs. Cameron's Kindergarten class 1
have been talking about bears. We've learn-
ed bear songs, heard bear stories and made
bear pictures and puppets.

. Mrs. Ottewell's grade 3 class welcomed
Claire Weir from Scotland: Because.we are
studying Canada, Claire is able to help us
make comparisons,

We had a heart scavenger hunt with our
grade 6 reading buddies •( Jennifer Moir,
Christine Todd and Denise Curran) and
learned many new things. We also .had a hot
dog lunch with Valentine treats..
Grade.3, Room 4
We're learning about children at work in -
Peru. Wye learned about Ruben who
,raises rabbits and about Pancha who takes
sheep high in the mountains. 'i-luancayo"
are cold- baked potatoes .with hot cheese
sauce. The people of Peru like theta. Yum!
Yum! Actually; most of us.did not like them~
that much. •
We're also writipg,about what we think..
We wrote "When I Grow Up...". Here are
some of the results:
