During the week leading from Feb. 15 to
Feb. 22•the work of Boy Scouts, Canada, is
coituneinorated, and services are held in
Churches thro.ug,hout the land, as well as in
Goderic•h, to point up and underline this un -
portant facet of work amongst boys from
five to 18 years old. Hundreds of boys,
Beavers, Wolf Cubs, Boy Scouts, Venturers
and Rover Scouts make up Boy Scouts,
Canada, and .are found in every conununity
of the country. In addition, there are hun-
dreds more found in the equivalent Girl
Guide Association, Brownies, Girl Guides
and Pathfinders. There are over 10,000

enlistees in,. the worldwide Boy Scout
Association. Uniforms in different countries
niL,y vary, but tlee motto for all remains the
same, •• Be Prepared."
World Jamborees are held, every four
years and bring together Scouts of every na-
tion, that boys might join hands in friend-
ship. The first such Jamboree was held in
England in 1920. Many countries .also hold
national Jamborees; Canada held its first in
1949: The Boy Scouts World Conference, a
federation of autonomous Scout Associa-
tions, meets biennially; with business con-
