EVELYN GREEN
Word was received recently of the death
of Mrs. B.F. l Evelyn) Green, formerly of
173 West St. in Goderich, who died on
January 5 at the age of 94 years.
At -the time of her death, Mrs. Green was a
resident of Stilwell Nursing Home in
Oklahoma under the care of Dr. Burdge
Green, who is her son.
Mrs. Green's late husband, Rev. B.F.
Green was a former minister at Calvin
United -Church in St. Helens.
Mrs, Green's name will be recognized
best by FOCUS readers as the person who
submitted many poems` written by Mrs. I.
Clark,
IDA LOUISA WRIGHT
Ida Louisa Wright, of Clinton and former-
ly of Goderich Township, died in Clinton
Public Hospital on January 18. She was 78
years old. •
Mrs. Wright was born on. September. 2,
1908 in Huilett Township to the late Charles
and Ida Louisa ( Izzard) Josling. On
September 30, 1932, she married the late
Norman Foster Wright in the United Church
Manse, Londesboro.
Mr.1 and Mrs. Wright farmed on the
Baseline Road; on the Goderich Township
side, after their marriage, until Mr,
• 4jlright,'s.,death in 1981 :and in 1982 -Mr's.
Wright moved to - Clinton • where she has
• resided since. "
Mrs. Wright is survived by . two sisters,
Mrs. Leslie (Olive) Ball and Mrs. George
( Edith) Wright, both of Clinton; and two
brothers, .Ralph Josling of Goderich 'and,
Elgin Josling of RR1 Londesboro. She is also
survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral and committal services were
held on January 20 at the Ball and Falconer
Funeral° Home, Clinton, with Rev:.. James
Bechtel officiating.
. Interment in Ball's Cemetery, Huilett
Township.
MARGARET ETHEL.WALMSLEY
• Margaret Ethel (Sutherland) Walmsley
died at Wentworth Lodge on Sunday,.
January 11 in her 100th year.
She was the wife of the' late H. Clifton
Walmsley. Dear mother of Dr. Joseph F.S. •

It was a simple illustration. It carne
across my desk with some material drawing
my attention to The Week of Prayer for
Christian Unity. That's this week.
It talked about a child, with small odd-
-shaped pieces of cardboard, slowly fitting
and joining the ragged, disjointed chunks
together, one piece after another until a
larger pattern appeared. And when the
final piece was inserted,a picture appeared,
as the fragments comeinto a unity, and form
a thing of beauty.
Mature Christians are certainly not blind
to the reality of the Christian Church today,
which appears hs disjointed chunks of the
• puzzle, and not a complete picture. While

grandmother of Peter, Charlotte Fletcher,
Katherine, David and Franklin Price.
Interment in Hamilton Cemetery.
DOROTHY MAY KAYE
Mrs. Dorothy May Kaye, of the Southwood
Nursing' Home, passed away at the
4"Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary,
Alberta, on January 11, 1987, at the age of 78
years.
Mrs. Kaye is survived by two daughters,
Norma and her husband Martin Blake, and
grandsons Marty and Jim, all of Calgary
and Sheila Graves of Toronto; as well as
one sister Grace Dewar of Toronto. She was
predeceased by her husband Bill in 1974.
Mrs. Kaye lived in Toronto from 1908-1971
when she moved to Goderich, Ontario. In
1980, she moved to Calgary where she lived
with her daughter Norma and her family un-
til recently when she became a resident of
Southwood Nursing Horne. She was a
member of the Bonavista Baptist Church
and the Fish Creek Seniors.
Funeral services were held at McInnis
and Holloway's "Park Memorial Chapel"
on "Wednesday, January 14 with the Rev,
Dan Colborne_, officiating. Cremation
followed.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes
may be made directly to Operation
Eyesight, 207 -19th Street N.W,, Calgary,
T2N 2H9.
WILHELMINA DICKSON "
Miss Wilhelmina (Willa) Dickson, R.N., of
St. Catherines died Monday, January 12 ,at
the age of 82 years.
Born in Ashfield Township in Huron Coun-
ty on October 2, 1903, she was the daughter
of the late Thomas Dickson and Matilda
Reid. .
She was a graduate of the,$chool' of Nurs-
ing in Goderich. . She was a missionary
nurse in Hurst and Chapleau. She became
nursing' supervisor at -Alexandra' Marine
and General Hospital and prior to her retire-
nient she was administrator of St. Marys
Hospital.
She is survived by one brother, Melvin
Dickson and his wife Helen of Saltford; and,
two sisters, Ruby Dyer of St. Catherines and
Corabelle and her husband Harvey Bryans
of London. Several nieces and nephews also
survive.
She was predeceased by three brothers,
Thomas, William and Fred Dickson, and
two sisters, Mae Taylor and Mary Ann
Dickson.
Funeral and committal" services were
held Thursday, January 15 al, the Butler
Funeral Home in St. Catherines with Rev.
Brown officiating. Interment was in .Mt.
Osborne Cemetery in Beamsville.
LETTIE GREEN
•
Lettie Green, of Bayfield and formerly of
London,, died in Clinton Public Hospital on
January 14. She was 94; years old.
•Mrs: Green was born in Pittsburg, Penn-
sylvania, on September 5, 1892 to the late
William and Clara (Jessop) Waggoner. On
September 10, 1912, she married the late
Albert Green in St. Georges Anglican'
Church, London.
,The couple continued to live in London,
where Mr. Green died in 1940, and Mrs.
Green stayed on until 1943. She then moved
to her daughter and son-in-law's, Clara and
Reg Wilson. Due to Mr.. Wilson's occupation
as a banker, they lived in various corn-
munities in Ontario before, moving to
Bayfield permanently in 1975.
However, Mrs. Green had been a summer
resident in Bayfield for many years, living
in Bayfield' for six months in the summer
and then living with her, daughter in the
winter.
Mrs. Green is survived by one. daughter,
Mrs. Reg (Clara) Wilson of Bayfield, and
one son, Bruce, of White Rock, B.C. She is
survived by nine grandchildren and several'
great grandchildren.
A funeral and committal service was held
on January 16 at the Ball and Falconer
Funeral Home, Clinton, with Pastor Reuben
Brubacher of Wallaceburg officiating.'
Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery,
London.
