NERVOUS TENSION.
Many people wear thereselVes out
needlessly; of this there is no possi-

species . of tyrant to them. An ex-
aggerated sense of duty leads many
a person to very anmous ceaseless
activity, to be constantly doing
something, never to be idle a second
of time, to scorn to rest. Such
people aro in. unconscious nerve ten-
sion. They say they have no time
to rest. they have so much to do,
not thieking that, they are rapidly,
unfitting themselves for probably
what; would have been their best and
greatest work in after years. As
there are conscious and unconscious
ehong.ltts, so there are conscious and
uneonscious nerve tensions. Self-
control of nerve force is the great

One of the raost interesting contri-

be the late General Count Keller's
letters to his wife, writes a Moscow
correspondent. They contain much
important information concerning the
organtestiort of the army and the
r-onduct of Ins troops. Whole vigi-

proper clothes; oth.ere Had no boots;
tlie deficiency of the sanitary arrange-

was general. Gonerel Keller express-

the capacity of many of his col-
leagues. Ills opinion of Elouropat-
kin was not high, and his AdOWS on
several others would not form pleas-

General Keller was well-known in

returned from the Far East, and
has told the story of the general's
