Transformer is best gift
By Darryl Mayberry
Grade 5
Hullett Central School
I feel that my Greatest Gift of all is when I
got my transformer. I found That I could
transform it into four different things.
It was my Greatest yet. It was just what I
wanted. I kept my room clean and I hoped a
lot. I helped with the dishes and I hoped a
lot. I baked cookies and I went to bed on
time without any one having to yell at me
and I hoped some more.
Then on Christmas morning, I was the
first one up. It was still dark outside but I
knew Sanata had been here because the
cookies and milk were gone. I ran down
stairs, and there it was. It was the greatest
gift of all.
Best gift of all
is love from the heart
By Jason P. Van Dorp

My greatest gift of all is the love that flows
through mankind's hearts. My mom and pop
that care for me. My hamster that sleeps all
day and runs and plays all night. My dog
that plays with me. And also Christmas
when Jesus Christ the Holy son of God was
born.

special gifts for dad
By Tanya Barter
Grade 8
Holmesville Public School
My dad is very special to me;
That's why he deserves the best
He's always there when I need him,
And he'll always be my friend.
So when I give a gift to him,
It must match all these standards,
But the only gift I found for him,
Is simply a hug and kiss!

On my way to the store, I thought of what I
could buy.
"A sports car would be nice," I said to
myself as I looked up into the sky.
"What am I saying? I can't afford one of
those. Maybe I could just get him a pretty
red rose,"
But he wouldn't like that though, I know.
"Dads are hard to buy for," I said as I
kicked some snow.
Another idea could be tickets to a concert,
I thought. I remembered last year what I
bought. No way, I'm not going to get him
that again. All it was, was a plain old pen.
I've got it, I'll give him this. A great, big,
fat, juicy kiss!!"

I would like to give Dad a new car for
Christmas. It would be really fast and have
a stereo and color TV. Dad would like it to be
long, low and painted candy -apple red. Real
leather interior and walnut dash board with
digital guages would complete his dream
car.
Also I'd like to get him a Braun electric
shaver. I would get him a new suit and a new
leather brief case too. I would get him an ap-
ple II computer and a water bed.
I would also like to send him on a first
class flight to Jamaica for two weeks and
put him up in the most expensive hotel.
But, I don't have enough money, so I'll
probably just make him a card, or draw him
a picture, and give him a hug and he'll be
just as happy.

On Christmas Eve I gave my dad an ex-
cellent gift. You see, I rented a chauffeur -
driven limo from London for only $50 an
hour. It had a TV, a telephone, and a bar in
it. Ever since, he's been driving around
town and acting cool as if he is 20 years old.
It seems to have been good for him. It has
put him in the Christmas spirit. This might
put him in the mood for sharing the car with
his son.
"Michael, wake up! Don't you want to
open your gifts?"
It was Mom calling. Too bad! I guess it
was just a dream.
"Well, Dad, here's my gift to you. It's not
a Limo, it's just a bottle of cologne. I guess
it's the thought that counts."

I wanted to give him a gift,
A gift of mental value,
So I searched and searched
All over the world,
For the perfect gift,
For a perfect Dad.
The gift was black,
With four large wheels,
And a V6 engine,
It was very large,
As large as a shack,
And very, very expensive.

The night is cool as I sit by the window,
Snowflakes frosting its glass,
Hot chocolate is warmth in my hand,
A gift for you I do not have.
A gift for you is hard to find.
For it is to be so special,
A gift with money I will not buy,
But a gift, you'll never guess.
There will not be red wrapping paper,
Nor a big green bow,
But a gift for you, oh daddy dear,
A gift we both can share.
And as this special day grows close,
And as we all rejoice,
A gift for you, oh daddy dear,
The gift of love we share.
