She started to wander. Next thing you know she was in the woods. She made a snowman and when she was finished she said to herself, "It is getting late. I had bet- ter start heading home now." When she went to leave she couldn't find her way home. Suzie began to cry and said, "I'm scared." All of a sudden the sky began to get dark, snow started to fall. Suzie was getting cold. Then she heard her name. Her brother Jonathan was calling her "Suzie! Suzie!" It started storming but then it was quiet. She fell asleep under a tree. Then she awoke and found herself lying in her own bed. She started to cry "Mom!" Her mother came in and said, "Suzie it is okay you have caught a cold." Suzie said, "Will Santa still come to me?" "Of course Santa will still come to you." Christmas Day Suzie said, "The best gift I received was coming home to my family." How Christmas came to be at Kelly's We all know that we celebrate the birth- day of Jesus on December 25 but Christmas really came to be at our house because of some great gifts. 1986 had been a lonely year, my best friend had moved away to Toronto. I was depressed and Christmas was going to be depressing too. To make matters worse my mom mysteriously left on December 24. Where had she gone? I didn't really feel like getting up on Christmas day but there was a knock on the door. I opened the door to find my mom and my best friend. Christmas By Becky Basler Grade 7 Vanastra Public School Mary was working hard one day when God said to Mary that she was going to have a child on December 25. Mary and Joseph had to get away from the town because every baby was getting killed before they were two, so they travP11- I grabbed mom and my friend and gave them a long hug. What a great gift my mom gave me. Christmas really did come to be at our house. By Kelly Giles Grade? Vanastra Public School The true story ed on a donkey to Bethlehem. On the way, Mary felt she couldn't go any further. They tried to find an inn but everyone they went to was full. Finally they found an inn that had a barn. Mary said that the barn would have to do. They stayed in the barn and in the night Mary had a beautiful baby boy. She named him Jesus. While Mary and .rncanh miring Jesus, three wisemen came along with some angels. They brought beautiful gifts for Jesus. Then a drummer boy came and played a song on his drum for the new born King! This is hoW Christmas really came to be. It is a time to celebrate at the birthday of Jesus. The story of when Jesus was born By Dixie Embling Vanastra Public School Many years ago an angel with golden hair told Mary that she was going to have a baby and she was to call him Jesus. That same night the angel said to Joseph, "You must take Mary to Bethleham because she is going to have a baby, that you must call Jesus." The next day Joseph took Mary to Bethleham. That night they arrived in Bethlehem. They tried to find an inn, but they didn't. They went to the last inn and the inn keeper said, "We are full but you can use my stable." So they went to the stable and had baby Jesus. The three wisemen saw the big shining star so they followed it. Before they went they got beautiful gifts and they followed it. A gift for dad By David Edward Grade 8 Holmesville Public School There it is right under the tree As if it was not put there by me, Soon it will be upon his knee The gift found for my father I would say this isn't a trowel And it isn't made of paper towel, For this a real live fowl - The gift I found for my father. His gift is not a golf tee; It wouldn't be his cup of tea, His gift hasn't to do with a key The gift I found for my father.
