Pee Wees streak stopped at 10
In Zurich on December 14, the Clinton
Pee Wees extended their current winning
streak to nine games by blasting Zurich
10-0.
Derek Hoggarth earned his first shutout
of the season.
Pacing the Clinton attack was Chris
Kennedy and Shaun Chipchase. Kennedy
picked up two goals and three assists while
Chipchase 'picked up two goals and four
assists.
Shane Macdonald turned in a strong per-
formance on the Clinton blue line as he not-
ched his first two goals of the season.
Slick -skating centre Rob Consitt, play-
ing in Clinton for this season on a one year
loan from the Hensall Minor Hockey
Association, showed he had excellent play -
making skills as he helped set up three
markers.
Also adding goals for Clinton were Scott
Rathwell, Danny Wildfong, Scott Mc-
Cleneghan and Scott Wright.
Four of the goals were scored by
defencemen and Manager John Meade
must have been pleased to see this. If there
was going to be a weak chink in the chain
of the Clinton team this year, everyone
thought it was going to be in the defence
area.

shooters with some excellent saves but
Clinton did manage to score twice. The
first period was scoreless.
In the second stanza, Clinton's Scott
Jewitt scored a beautiful breakaway goal
at 2:43 to give Clinton a 1-0 lead. Rob Con-
sitt sent Jewitt in the clear with an ex-
cellent pass to earn the only assist on the
play.
Early in the third period Shaun Chip -
chase's unassisted marker gave Clinton a
2-0 lead, but with only eight seconds left in
the game Dave Nahrgang lost his bid for a
shutout when Strathroy's Jake Hibbs beat
him on a breakaway.
Parkhill 4 - Clinton 3
In the second game of the tournament
Clinton was victimized by some poor plays
in their own end and that led to a 4-3 vic-
tory for Parkhill. It also ended Clinton's
winning streak at 10 games.
Clinton led 2-1 after one period on goals
by Shaun Chipchase and Rob Consitt. At
the 51 second mark Chipchase took a pass
from Jason Carter from behind the net and
buried the puck behind the startled
Parkhill goalie.
After Parkhill evened the score at 1-1,
Rob Consitt worked a beautiful give and go
with Lee Gibbings to put Clinton in the lead
again at 7:42.

For Christmas, each year we write out a
Christmas list of the things that we want the
most. This way, everyone might get at least
one or two presents that we want. Usually
my sisters and my list are the longest, while
the others are relatively short. My mother
and father usually don't know what they
want. If they do know what they want, it is
usually something that is a lot of money like
a new television for their bedroom or
something like that. My mother wanted the
usual thing that was too expensive.
My father's Christmas list wasn't up on
the fridge where the other lists were posted
so I went in to the living room where he was
watching television. When I asked him what
he wanted or would like for Christmas, he
said something that really surprised me.
Now, my father isn't the soft mushy type
like some fathers tend to be. In fact, for his
hobby he eniovs going out and hunting with
a few of his friends so when he answered my
question, it really shocked me. When I asked
him, he said, "I don't want any really expen-
sive or practical gift. All I want, is that
everyone can be home for Christmas."
Although you may think that this is a very
simple and non -complicated wish and that it
means hardly anything at all, consider it
again. When you really think about it, I
think each one of us has this gift on our list.
Though there may be quite a few expensive
gifts he could have wished for, he wished for
the one money can't buy. I really appreciate
him for pointing this out to me by one simple
wish and I hope he has also pointed
something out to you.
The girt of love, joy and happiness. No
matter how beautiful, expensive or elegant
any other gift may be, the gift he wanted
was the greatest and I hope you have this
gift that my father wished for. Merry
Christmas!

There I was with $20,000 looking at a
brand new Harley-Davidson.
"I must get that for my dad," I said.
I looked at different types. I finally decid-
ed on a red and black one with lots of
chrome.
When I got home my dad wasn't there. I
took the bike and put it in the garage.
When my dad got home he went into the
garage. Then he came out and thanked me.
He quickly jumped on the bike and was off
towards town.
When he came back he had a black leather
jacket with studs. He also -had a good look-
ing pair of dark shades,
Oh great! I thought he's going to turn out
to be a biker now. He will probably start
stealing things and beating up people.
Quickly I ran over and jumped on the bike
and took it back.
When I got there the guy only gave me
$15,000 so I bought him a nice Honda.
