Keep your
distance from fallen
wires
Ice storms, high winds, falling tree limbs can bring
hydro lines down. Don't go near a fallen wire...
even a seemingly dead line can be dangerous.
Warn others to keep clear and call Clinton P.U.C.
to report the fallen wire.
If the line falls across your vehicle,
stay inside until the line is removed by a hydro crew.
If you must leave because of fire,
jump clear without touching the car
and the ground at the same time.
If there's a live power line touching your car,
putting even one foot on the ground
can be a fatal move to make.

Atom A's drop one but
go on to
win three straight
On December 3 the Clinton's Atom A's
took on the Seaforth I hockey team on Clin-
ton home ice.
Strong offensive play by both teams pro-
vided spectators with a fast moving, end to
end hockey match.
The Clinton squad substantially out -shot
Seaforth but couldn't put a puck past
Seaforth goal tender Adam Agar. Clinton
lost the game 7-0.
Agar played three periods of flawless
net -minding, turning back a constant supp-
ly of Clinton shots.
Seaforth goal scorers were Mike Hugill,
Mike Devereaux, Mike Watt, and Jeff
Flanagan.
The following week, Clinton was more
successful, winning three games.
A strong offensive effort by Clinton on
December 9 produced the score needed to
break a previous two game losing streak.
Jeremy Scherle played his first game
with the Clinton team as goal tender, and
successfully turned away all Hensall
attacks.

Clinton 8 - Brussels 2
The Clinton Atom A's travelled to
Brussels on December 11.
First period play was very closely mat-
ched, with Brussels players spending as
much time in the Clinton end as Clinton in
their's.
The score at the end of the first stood at
one goal each.
Second period play was also tightly con-
tested but the Clinton skaters gave
evidence that they were adjusting to the
harder Brussels ice. Clinton led 3-2 at the
end of the second period.
Third period play produced five more
goals for Clinton, as the team out -skated
and out -passed the aggressive Brussels
squad.
Clinton's goal -tenders Jeremy Scherle
and Dan Gibbings provided top notch net
coverage through all three periods.

Mike Hohner, two;, Nate Burns, one.
