representing the Kippfield Calf Club, for the champion 4-11 grain exhibit that the club
displayed at the Seaforth Fall Fair. The Call Club and its members earned several
awards at the evening ceremonies honoring 4-H Agricultural Clubs in Huron County. The

Top standings in 4-H work in the poultry club division were earned by Crystal Whyte of
RR 2 Seaforth and Shelley Merner of RR 1 Clinton. Barry Cleave presented the duo with
special awards honoring their achievements at the Huron County Agricultural 4-11

play it cool
CLINTON - The fifth and sixth meeting of
Clinton II was held November 2 at Sherry
Postma's.
The 4-H pledge was said and the club com-
bined the meeting with the party. All
members brought something for the meal.
The meeting was called Play it Cool.
Members learned about vegetables in
salads, sprouts, your own guidelines for
salads and different garnishes. They read
through the exercise and then had fun doing
the crossword puzzle.
Members were reminded to do the evalua-
tion on the club. Achievement night will be
held November 24 in the Varna complex.
Books are due November 13.
New lawn
bowling club
house is setting
for euchre
CLINTON - The lawn bowling club here
held their first euchre party at the new club
house on November 12 with nine tables in
play.
The winners were: high lady, Erma
Crich; low lady, Dorothy Grange; high
man, Ray Gilders; low man, Jack McClin-
chey; lone hands, Ken McDougall and
Dorothy Townsend.
The lucky draw winners were: first,
Doreen Baird; second, Norma Ashton;
third, Ken McDougall.
There will be another card party held on
December 10.

reusits
BRUCEFIELD - Results from the IOOF
card party held here are: high winners, An-
na Wilson and Harold Coleman; low win-
ners, Bea Dalrymple and Toby Murray;
lone hand winners, Bea Bowman and Mary
Broadfoot.
Door prizes were won by Mary Coleman
and Joan Caldwell.
Knights of
Columbus
euchre results
CLINTON - The Knights of Columbus
sponsored a euchre party on November 11
with Erma Bourne taking the high hands for
the ladies and Irene Heipel taking the low
hands. Lone hand winners were Marg
Trevena and Lon Matthews.
The winner in the high hand category for
men was John VanDenElzen while Jim
Boyle was the low hand winner.
Veterans hold
euchre party
CLINTON - A veteran and seniors euchre
party was held at the Legion, Branch 140 on
October 24 with 14 tables filled.
First prize went to Clark Bull and
Margaret Bull. Second prize winners were
Ruth Bezzo and Doug Bezzo.
Lone hand winners were Comrade John
Semple and Comrade John Cameron.
Friday night euchre at Branch 140 saw
Laura Emmerson win the high hands for the
ladies and Lois Turner win the lone hands.
Low hand winner was Mrs. Aubrey Tallant
and the high men's winner was Aubrey
Tallant. Low man was Jim Turner.

THE RENT REVIEW GUIDELINE FOR 1988
IS 4.7 PER CENT
The rent review guideline for Next year has been calculated at
4.7 per cent. This is the amount by w'hic'h a landlord ran increase t ht'
maximum rent fora unit during 1988 without approval from the
Ministry of Housing. The rent for a unit ('an he increased only ant r ill
a 12 -month period.
The 4.7 per cent guideline applies to all Kik ate rental units iia t lir

December 31, 1988.
The 1987 guideline of 5.2 per cent continues to apply to rent increase-.

It is illegal for a landlord to increase the maximum rent above the
