Kathy's not afraid
of Friday the 1 3th
By Kathy Bromley
BLYTH - In two days time, I will hit the
six month mark since brain surgery was
performed on me. At such time, I will be
half way there in going for a year free of
seizures. Not only the fact that it has been a
year since my operation, also, it will be six
months since 1 experienced my last seizure!
That's right, my last aura and focal seizure
( not as severe as my phychomotor seizures)
occurred as I lay on the table and surgery
was underway. Yes, the six month mark
falls on Friday the 13th of November.
This year has been my year. I Incidental-
ly, my father turned 56 last month, just as
1956, was the year in which I was born.)
As I looked into things even more, I found
that 13 is obviously intended for me, after
all, I am the third child of the 10 children my
parents brought into this world.
As if all this is not enough, Bev and I will
be celebrating our 13th anniversary next
May. Exactly three days. following our an-
niversary on May 10. I will hit the one year
mark since my surgery, May 13, only,
ironically, it too falls on Friday again.
Then nine days later, just as I have nine
brothers and sisters, my brother's date of
death falls again. At this time, though, it will
mark three years since Pete's death. For a
woman who was once superstitious, I am
everything but that now, for 13 is my
number!
Lost Heir Results

terested players for seven tables at Lost

Snell and Charlie Smith. This week, a prize
was donated for the special for the night
which Millar Richmond received. Lost

Memorial Hall.
