New sorority chapter is underway in Clinton
CLINTON - The first October meeting of
Preceptor Delta Alpha was held on October
5 at the home of Marj Dobson. Eight
members and three guests shared a relaxed
social hour and a potluck dinner. Maryanne
Yeats, Goderich Preceptor, Dianne Steven-
son and Nancy Klomps, Clinton Examplor
Chapter, performed a touching candlelight
ceremony to bestow the Preceptor degree
upon the eight charter members of the Clin-
ton groups.
This ceremony included each member
dedicating themselves to a specific jewel of
the rainbow, the choices being as follows:
red for courage, yellow for vision, blue for
humility, orange for loyalty, green for
fellowship, and violet for service. This was
followed by the installation of officers.
Secretary Ann Adams called the roll with
a request of two adjectives from each
member. These adjectives then filled in the
blanks for an hilarious minutes reading.
Plans were discussed for the weekend shop-
ping trip to.. Toronto in November. Service
chairperson, Lois Fitzgerald, presented the
project of serving the lunch for the CCB
meeting again and everyone agreed to con-
tinue with the duties. Ways and Means
chairperson, Audrey Kemp, collected Regal
orders.
The next meeting will be October 19 at the
home of Lois Fitzgerald. Following the
meeting, the members and guests enjoyed a
special cake to celebrate the special
evening.
