coming to Blyth on October
For an evening of comedy, music and
sales pitches against nuclear war, in-
terested persons should see "Bossin's
Home Remedy For Nuclear War," a one-
night -only performance to be held at Blyth
Memorial Hall, October 15th at 8 pm.
Bossin's Home Remedy for Nuclear
War, sponsored by Women Today and the
Huron County Medical Society, iPWritten
and performed by Bob Bossin. He is well-
known across the country as the leader of
Canada's premiere folk group "String -
band," and is widely acknowledged as one
of Canada's foremost songwriters.
The show is the hit Canadian musical
that has toured the country from the Queen
Charlottes to Cape Breton.
"It's an old-style musical medicine show
that dispenses a snake -oil cure that is two -
parts comedy, two parts of disarming
political theatre and a liberal dose of cat-
chy songwriting," reported the Vancouver
Sun prior to Bossin's performance at the
Vancouver East Cultural Centre.
Throughout the show, the audience will
witness jokes and songs aimed at politi-
cians, the imitation of a U.S. military
general, a Soviet and an impersonation of
Ronald Reagan.
Tickets for the show are $8 advance, $10
door, $5 students and $15 dinner and show.

CI,INTON - Although attendance was low
for the euchre party held at Clinton Public
Hospital on September 28, organizers hope
to see more players out for their next outing.
The high winners for the games were
Donelda Flynn and Walter Pepper. Rachel
Johnston was the low lady, and Mrs. J. Hogg
1 playing as a man) .was the low man. For
the lone hands the winners were Erma and
Alden Crich. Mrs. J. Hogg was also the
share the wealth winner.
