The Judge F. Fingland Memorial Award for French was won by Roxanne Martin. The Senior Award for Proficiency in Visual Arts was presented to Brian Raidt and the Raintree Gallery Art Award was won by Shane Shell. Allison Dunn won the Reeves Art Award and the beta Sigma Phi Visual Arts Award went to Vicki Speziale and Colleen Glousher. The Clinton Medical Associates Award for Proficiency in the Visual Arts was won by Allison Dunn, Bryan Taylor and Anita Wilts. Gord Collins received the Riehl Advertis- ing Marketing Award and the Royal Bank Accounting Award went to Andrea Aisen- preis. The Bank of Montreal Award for Secretarial Subjects went to Julie Webster David Andrews received the Dr..,K.S. Wood Science Award. The Centennial Banc Music Award was earned by Steve Hearn. Jeff Graf was the recipient of the Huronia Welding Award. Peter Brand and Bill Fotheringham were the winners of the West Wawanosh Mutual Insurance Co. Award. Lisa Boonstoppel received the Environmental Science Award. Christine Baker, Lisa Thomas, Anita Wilts and Kimberley Wright were the win- ners of the Ruby Haddy Memorial Award for Health Services. The award is presented by the Auxiliary to the Clinton Public Hospital. The Technical Teachers' Award for Basic Level Blueprint Reading and Food Services was won by Byron Janman. The Technical Teachers' Award for Basic Level Welding and Woodworking was won by Bill Latky. Grade 12 Awards In Grade 12 studies, the Lion's Club Award for General Proficiency in Technical Subjects was presented to Steve Beane. He also won the Champion Road and Machinery Awrd for Mechanical Drafting. The Lion's Club Award for General Pro- ficiency in Commercial Subjects was presented to Andrea Aisenpreis. The Clin- ton News Record English Award was given to Heather Bauman and the Cyanamid of Canada Chemistry Award was received by David Andrews. David also received the Clinton Kinsmen Award for Mathematics. Sarah Samplonius and David Roorda were the joint recipients of the E.B. Men- zies History Award. David Roorda also won the Technical Teachers' Award in Electrical Technology. Christine Baker and Peter Brand won the General Chemistry Award. Jeff McLean won the McKerlie-Millen Automotive Award for Auto Mechanics Theory. The Haugh Tire Award for Prac- tical Auto Mechanics was won by Craig Hackwell. , Gary Elliott won the Harold Wise Ltd. Award for Sheetmetal. Jeff Hoelscher was the winner of the Ball -Macaulay Award in Building Construction and Robert Glanville won the Langford Lumber Award for Ar- chitectural Drafting. Grade 11 awards Not only Grade 12 and 13 students were in the awards circle at commencement night. Students who are continuning their senior studies at CHSS were also recogniz- ed for their scholastic achievements for Grade 11 work. The award winners includ- ed Christina Roulston, winner of the Sarah Hale Chapter IODE French Award and Scott Israels who won the Intermediate Award for Proficiency in Visual Arts. Jeremy Ten Hag won the Hector Kingswell Clinton Community Credit Union Memorial Award for Programming. He also received the Epps Manufacturing Award for Drafting. Fred Peel won the Human Biology Award. Paul Brand was the winner of the Christopher Borgal Architectural Drafting Award and Dianne Batkin won the Ball and Mutch Family Studies Award. Rob Van Loon received the Ruddy Electrical Wholesale Co. Award for Electricity and Electronics. Basic Level Awards went to Ruth Ann Brown who won the Kuenzig Food Market Award for Food Services and Jennifer Plumsteel who won the Norholme Sewing Award. Grade 10 Awards Daryl Hemingway was the winner of three Grade 10 awards. He received the Sarah Hale Chapter IODE Geography Award and he shared the A.H. Carter Award for Science with Eleanor Doey. Daryl, along with Marnie McClinchey and Mike MacLean earned the English Teachers' Award. Michael Holland was the winner of the Mercury Blueprinting Award for Drafting. In the Basic Level Awards, Betty Greidanus won the Kuenzig Food Market Award and Steve Stevenson won the Ball - Macaulay Woodworking Award. Rob Brown was the winner of the Keith Sharp Auto Servicing Award and the SOS Typing Award went to Lynn Feeney. .Grade 9 awards Grade 9 students who topped their class included Gina Mustard and Craig Bauman who both received the A.H. Carter Award for Science. The Canadian Parents for French Award was won by Trisha Cooper. The Mary's Sewing Centre Award for Clothing was won by Leona Cunningham. Shelly Stone won the Food Services Basic Level Subject Awards, the Norholme Award for Electricity and the Ball - Macaulay Woodworking Award. Cindy Campschroer and Dawn Powell won the Family Studies Foods Award and Catherine MacDonald earned the SOS Typ- ing Award. ONTARIO SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS Six Grade 13 students were named Ontario Scholars. They includ- ed, left to right, Don Hearn, Sandy Carter, Brenda Nesbitt, Shawn better.
