There was a large assortment of livestock,
pets and plant life on display at the annual
fall fair, held in Belgrave on Spetember 15.
The fair is put on by students from Blyth,
Belgrave and Brussels schools. LEFT: Rob-
bie McGee found these exotic birds to be
fairly interesting, and risked poking his
finger through the bars of the cage to gauge
the birds' reaction. Robbie is a Grade 1 stu-
dent at East Wawanosh Public School.
RIGHT: Meanwhile, young Cole Vincent, a
preschooler; took a liking to the more or-
dinary household pets, namely cats.
ABOVE, CENTRE: Although they were hidden away underneath a table, these huge
pumpkins didn't escape the notice of (left to right) Kyle Moran, Myron Hussey and Tim
Coultes. Kyle and Tim are both in Grade 7 at East Wawanosh, and Myron is a
preschooler. LEFT: The brother and sister combination of Anita and Greg Massey had a
successful day at the fair showing their livestock. Anita, a Grade 7 East Wawanosh stu-
dent, came away with two fifth place prizes, while her brother, a Grade 4 student at the
same school, won a fourth place prize, as well as one for placing sixth. CENTRE: While

it was undoubtedly a tiring day for the students taking part in the fair, some of their pets
also needed a break. Although it is not their dog, Chelta Vair (left) and Sherry Taylor
took time out to give this dog Barclay a drink of water. Chelta and Sherry are both Grade
6 studnets at East Wawanoth. RIGHT: Vaughn Vincent Iright) received some help in
grooming his horse Midnight from Laura Munro and Trina Leishman. All three are
students at'East Wawanosh, Vaughn in Grade 3, Laura in Grade 8 and Trina in Grade 7.
