Although many of the ancient tractors and pieces of farm
machinery on display at the show were extremely large, there were tractor.
also some smaller tractors for the children's tractor pull. Amanda
McQuillin gave it her all when it came time to try out the miniature
Clinton chapter of Order of Eastern Star celebrates
their 36th birthday at September meeting
CLINTON - The Clinton Chapter, Order of
the Eastern Star, celebrated their 36th bir-
thday at their meeting on September 3.
At this meeting the draw on the Worthy
Matron's Project took place. Winner of the
Butler's Table was Lloyd Bell of Stratford,
and the Cypress Clock was won by June
Boussey of Clinton. Proceeds of this draw
will go towards research into Parkinson's
Disease, the Worthy Matron's Project this
year.
An auction sale was held after the meeting
with profitable results. Many thanks to Bert
Lobb for being our auctioneer.
A special meeting was held on September
10, at which time Margaret Brunkard of
Londesboro affiliated with Clinton Chapter.
She was formerly a member of Brighton
Chapter in Fergus.
A new season starts for 4 -Hers
The first meeting of the new fall project
for Clinton II was held at Van Dorps on
September 12. Members said the 4-H pledge.
Then they had the election of officers. Presi-

the meeting and filled in the blanks. The
leaders, Sherry and Carolyn, explained how
to do the home activity. They then made a
snack of dip and a vegetable tray.
The next meeting will be held September
23 at the home of Sherry Postma.
