One event at the reunion which attracted a lot of attention
was the saw mill. Visitors gathered on both sides of the
mill to watch the ancient mill being put to work. The mill
was powered by a Robt Bell Steam Engine from Seaforth,
owned by John Shamblan.

Aside from the antique tractors and farm machinery on display around the community
centre grounds, there was also an area set out on the ball diamond to accommodate anti-
que car owners. One proud car owner was Harold McGee of RR6 Goderich, who
displayed not only his award winning 1950 Ford, but also the many trophies and badges
he has accumulated over the years by taking his car out to shows.

Visitors to the reunion had an opportunity to participate in a number of
events. Here, Stu Barfoot tries his hand at the bag tying competition.
Although all of the heavy machinery was
displayed outside, there was also much in-
side the arena for visitors to the Huron
Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association
Reunion to see. John and Alma Dietrich of
Mitchell found this display of heavy draught
horses by Ken Martin to be an interesting
One.

There was something for everyone to be found at the anneal reunion. A clown performed
a comedy -magic act upstairs in the community centre for those children who grew tired
of marching around the grounds.
Another event which attracted much crowd participation was the
log sawing. Ross Jacklin and John Nunnikoven put on a good show
for the crowd, knocking a gond amount of time off the record
previously set.
