The Dreafners played in their tournament in Vanastra and came out "A" champions. They defeated Londesboro first, Clinton Mustangs second and Holmesville was the team they beat for the final. The Dreamers would like to thank their coach, Mr. Mount, for,.his super coaching this season. Personals A Russell family shower for Carol Miller and Paul Desloges was held at Ivan and Marg McClymont's home on September 6 with 60 people attending Children receive On Sunday, September 13 — Dianne Dewys, Superintendant of St. Andrews United Church School, assisted by Rev. Lorne Keays, presented the awards to children who had attended 30 Sundays or more. Dan Kinsman, Lindsay Love, and Laura Wright, all received diplomas. Jacob Kinsman — 2nd year seal.Pam Love — 3rd year. Kim Dewys — 4th year. Jeff Turner — 5th year. Paul Cooper — 6th year. Beverly Lefavre and Nancy Lefavre — 7th year. Dana Cooper — 8th year. Angie Faber, Jonathon Turner, Mark Cooper and Chrystal Jones, all received their 9th year seal. Candace Cooper 10th year, Cheryl Turner — 12th, Tricia Cooper — 14th and Christine Cooper, the 16th year seal. Mr. and Mrs. Don Barker spent a few days last week with Ivan and Marg McClymont and visited with friends and relatives in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Al Hoggarth and daughter, Janet from Kippen, and Violet Ashard and Janet Hollingsberry from near London, England were visitors at Barry Cleave's last week. The art work of Barry Cleave was featured in the Advance last week Bill McAsh has undergone surgery and has been in the hospital for some time but returned home on Sunday. Everyone wishes Bill a speedy recovery since returning their awards Visitors with Al and Margaret on Sunday, September 13 were Olive Berry from England, Rex Berry and Maureen Berry from Wales, and Stan Sutherland from London. The children are all back in school again for another year. B.J. Coultis, Brian Webster and Cara Stephenson started kindergarten. Jason McAsh and Paul Hill have`'ust entered high school and Doug Roy is going to Fanshawe College. On September 17, Youth Group I meets in Varna at 7 pm for soccer and some discussion. September 20 is Varna's anniversary ser- vice at 11 am. It will be a combined service. The speaker will be Earl Pitts, a Youth With A Mission Administrator teacher. The special music is by the Vocal Agreement, part of" the Seaforth Barber Shop Group. There will be a special program planned for the children eight and under. On September 27 services will resume as usual.
