Huron. County Plowing Match
Everythingfrrnn queens
to tractors and dirt
The 60th Annual Huron County Plowing Match was held at .lack Riddell's farm on
September 4 with plowing, nail driving and the Queen of The Furrow contest, to mention
a few of the events held during the day. In the nail driving contest, Sandra Hunt, who was
voted Huron County's Queen of The Furrow last year. cleaned up with some swift
strokes. Dianne Hamilton (inset) also tried her hand at nail driving. The Plowing Match
was put on by the Huron Plowmen's Association.
Audrey Bos, of Auburn, was voted Huron County Queen of the Furrow. Miss Bos will
represent the county at the International Plowing Match in Stratford in 1988. Jane Ander-
son, of f,ondeshoro, was the runner-up.

Of course, no plowing match is complete without plowing. ('on-
testants had to make sure they weren't plowing too deep, therefore,
a lot of them Hem busy looking over their shoulders.
.leremy Becker. of Dashwood, took part in this year's plowing
match, carefully taking in all of the action.
