Clinton takes
water polo
tourney
CLINTON - This town's newest sports
team played in their first and only tourna-
ment of the year on August 30 and came
home undefeated.
The Clinton Water Polo Team was put
together earlier this summer when local
swimmers got together to play for fun.
On August 31 they travelled to Glencoe to
play against a team from that area. and two
teams from London. They went undefeated
in three games to become tournament
champs.
While this is the first year for a team of
this type in Clinton for some time, pool
representatives expect the sport may con-
tinue in the 1988 summer season.
If there is enough interest by local youths
next summer, the tournament may be held
at the Clinton Community Pool.
