Jeanette Martin has highest points
CLINTON-The Horticultural Society here
held their annual flower show on August 21
in the Central Huron Secondary School
cafeteria. There were a total of 18 adults ex-
hibiting with 202 entries and 7 Junior
Gardeners exhibited 91 entries.
The prize donated by the Horticultural
Society for highest points in the show was
won by Jeanettt, Martin. The Clinton News -
Record prize for second highest points was
won by Karen Whitmore and the Verbeek
Farm and Garden Centre prize for third
highest points was won by Jean McEwen.
Anstett's prize for fourth highest points was
awarded to Gwen Holland.
Margaret Anderson's prize for best ar-
rangement in the show was also won by
Gwen Holland. The Stf'u•r1r•t and (:race Mid-
dleton Memorial prize for best arrangement
of Glads went to Jeanette Martin. Bev
Williscraft's prize for best Glad was won by
Jean McEwen and Evelyn Olde's prize for
best Dahlia was won by Jeanette Martin.
Jean McEwen's prize for the best miniature
arrangement went to Gwen I- olland.
Florentine Marquis' prizes for Class No.
58 were won by Jeanette Martin, Roberta
Plunlsteel, Marion Powell, Karen Whit-
more, Pat Holland and Kathleen Whitmore.
Jean McEwen's prize for best zinnia ar-
rangement went to Marion Powell and the
Horticultural Society prize for most points
in arrangement classes was won by Gwen
Holland.

Dahlias was won by Cela Sloman and Cela
Sloman's prize for best bouquet of Sweet
Peas was won by Florence Pullen.
Junior Gardener with highest points was
Angela Bailey and Darlene Bailey won the
prize donated by Marion McCann for second
highest points. Margaret Sloman's prize for
third highest points was won by Carla
Caldwell. Other Junior Gardeners were Lori
Kumm, Kara Freeman, Kurt Kumm, and
Hadi Feltham.
Horticultural Society door prizes were
won by Elaine Bechtel, Irwin Martin and
Daphne Johnston.
The Junior Gardener door prize was won
by Halph Holland.
