Assistive devices for disabled long awaited "The Ontario March of Dimes is delighted by the Ontario government's announcement to expand the assistive devices program," said David Logan, President of the Ontario March of Dimes. The Ontario March' of Dimes, together with allied consumer groups and agencies, has been asking successive Ontario govern- ments to expand the assistive devices pro- gram to adults with disabilities. Many adults with physical disabilities now face critical delays in obtaining such essential equipment as wheelchairs and braces. Those without sufficient funds to pay for these devices, must rely on charity or try to penetrate tile, labryinth of different government prograins. Disabled youths up to 23 are now provided with 75 percent of the funding for these devices by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
