A bed of gravel is then plac- ed and the pipe, which has small slots on the top, bottom and sides, is placed on the gravel, allowing the water to enter the pipe and be carried to the junction where another pipe leads it down a gully and out into the lake. The work began on July 30 and was estimated to be completed by August 14. Although the cottagers initiated the idea and have carried out the work, they give a lot of credit to Mr. Donnelly and Mr. Taylor. "They've been very helpful and suppor- tive," said Mr. Houser, who also added, "This project has been fun."
